Bottle received from Thome50. Shared in line at the Kuhnhenn Winter Solstice.
A: Dark brown with a light, bubbly brown head. Minimal lacing.
S: Whiskey dominates with some smells of roasted malt underneath.
T: This one is fairly alcohol forward. Lots of whiskey upfront. Roasted chocolate and coffee flavors in the finish.
M: Light bodied for my liking on this style. Good amount of carbonation.
O: Overall not the best BA stout, but a solid offering. Glad I have a generous trading partner who sent this to me without having to trade a lot for it because of the low bottle count.

On tap at the Alpine Pub
First time having this beer and I wasnt disappointed. It was everything I want in an Imperial stout. Choclate flavors with an amazing scent of bourban. No booziness at all it was extremly well balanced. Being on Nitro it was even more drinkable, I had 4. Went up to Alpine to drink IPA's and was pleasently suprised to see this beer on tap. It was so good that I just had to stick with it.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a Pipeworks snifter.
A-pours black with a 2 finger dark tan head. Big ring of lacing with some small blotches also.
S- big bourbon aromas right out the gate, chocolate, some light vanilla, and coffee.
T- big chocolate mixes with bold bourbon. Some nice light vanilla and bitter coffee.
M- medium body and carbonation. Some acidity and alcohol burn knocks the feel down a bit for me.
O- good BA stout but not very complex and has some abv burn after nearly a year after being bottled now. I did not pick up the buttery off flavors or aromas that some have. Bottle variation maybe?

22oz bottle poured into HF stemmed glass. Thanks Tom (airfoil) for this one!
A- Pours a dark brown that appears an opaque dark black in the glass. About a finger of beige/mocha head that recedes fairly fast to a thin layer with some floating yeast sediment and leaving some light lacing.
S- Bourbon, light booze, light chocolate, fairly average aroma bourbon-barrel presence, nothing overly exciting but decent overall.
T- Light chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, light booze on finish with a vanilla chocolate finish that lingers for a little bit. Nice balance.
M- Medium bodied, light alcohol burn, smooth, fairly drinkable, slightly thin for a BA stout.
O- This was a decent overall barrel-aged stout. Definitely not the best I've had, but fairly enjoyable. I'd have this again, but I probably wouldn't recommend going out of your way to obtain it.
