Siciliano's is hands down the best beer shop on the north west side of GR, and is in the top 3 for all of west Michigan. They always have a great selection, get new stuff in regularly, and the staff is very helpful. I've several times been checking out and had them tell me about some deal they had going on, even to come back the following week for a sale on homebrew kit I was going to buy right then. They lost $11, but they gained a customer for life. There parking sucks, but that goes with the spot they have with no way to improve it. Right next door to them is a pretty good pizza place, wood fired.

Siciliano's really is the destination for craft beer fans and homebrewers alike in West Michigan. I don't live near the store, but find myself making frequent trips there to pick things up, especially on "New Beer Friday." Absolutely A+ service, and the people working in the shop are all highly knowledgeable on their products, and are always willing to assist. The best selection of craft beer I've been able to find within 100 miles (plus everything can be purchased by the bottle). Really solid selection of homebrew supplies and equipment. There have only been a few instances where Siciliano's didn't have what I needed, and in those cases it was hard to find in the first place, even through a national internet homebrew retailer. Fierce advocates for the local homebrewing community, not to mention generous sponsors of local events and competitions. I can say with confidence that without Siciliano's, there is no way I would be able to enjoy homebrewing and craft beer the way I do now. West Michigan is very lucky to have a resource like this in its backyard.

Siciliano's Market is a wonderful place to find your favorite beers, spirits or wines. If you are a Home Brewer you can get your supplies here. I highly recommend stopping by here. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you are looking for something that is hard to find they probably have it or they can get it for you. I try to frequent Siciliano's weekly. They always have new Brews coming in every week. They also carry cigars and tobaccos which gives it an inviting aroma when walking into the store.

Sicilianos is by far the best "beer" store I've ever frequented.

The selection is immense and will please beer, cigar, coffee, tea, and homebrew aficionados.

As for beer, they have a reliable selection from anywhere in the globe. The store is essentially divided into sections by regions. For instance, all belgians/international beers have their own shelf. There is also sections for Michigan and domestic beers.

Outside of beer, the store has quite a bit of spirits and liquors. There is also a section dedicated to exotic teas and coffee. Sicilianos also reps a full assortment of homebrew equipment/ingredients, home-fermented wine section, and another section I like to call DIY. This is stuff like make your own almond milk or grow your own mushrooms or cheese.

As for beer, it's easily best in Grand Rapids and West Michigan. Sicilianos consistently stocks rare and mainstay beers and their availability is second to none. The staff is incredibly knowledgable in making the right recommendations to seasoned beer drinkers or beginners. One thing that separates this from average liquor stores, Sicilianos marks all their beer in singles. While you can buy four/six packs, it's more targeted toward maker your six pack.

Protip for Sicilianos: First, they stock new beers on Thursday afternoon and run a blog on Friday called "New Beer Friday." Your best chance for finding whales and rarities is on Thursday afternoon.

Next stop on our round trip Michigan trip. Also recommended by many BA's

Small parking lot on a slightly busy road. Fair sized store selling beer, spirits, cigars and home brew supplies. Friendly staff, we were asked by several employees if we needed help and smiled and re-assured us to ask for anything if needed. Selection was very good, but was a little sad to see very little Shorts beers. Picked up a case (gotta get the 10% discount) and left happy. Most of the beers I bought were fresh except the 2 Jolly Pumpkin beers (Weizen Bam and E.S. Bam) both were a year old (still excellent btw)

Will definitely return.

One of the many reason to visit Grand Rapids. A great bottle selection in a clean and well organized store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and pointed out some stuff that had recently come in. The 10% discount on purchases over a case was a nice surprise too.

Picked up some great local stuff form Founders, Bells and New Holland as well as a few Epic bottles that apparently were new to Michigan.

My only complaint was that their Short's selection was very limited. Aside from that, this place was great and I will definitely return on my next trip to Grand Rapids.

The atmosphere here is just great. There are beer making and wine making supplied in the front, and then you make your way to the back where there are loads of great beers and wines.

The quality here is great: a fine showing of wine and beer making supplies. Their staff seems to know everything.

The service is simply wonderful. Any questions I've had, either in terms of self brewing or beer drinking have been answered. Never have the employees seems in a bad mood and I always felt comfortable speaking with them.

The selection is also great. Many different beer choices: it would be difficult to exhaust them all.

The value is also on the money (pun intended!). Many of the single brews will run you like a dollar and a half which is great. Many of the more select beers are not terrible expensive and are right where they should be. An overall wonderful place.

I've been up to Grand Rapids twice in the past month and have made it a point to stop by the top bottle shop in GR, Siciliano's, while visiting.

Siciliano's had a broad range of Domestic and International bottles and a participatory good selection of Belgians. The shop only sells by the bottle, which makes their shelves of 4-packs and 6-packs a bit pricey.

Both times I've stopped in, I've had a hard time finding anything terrible exceptional. Like many shops, I'm sure they get some whales in from time to time, which probably vaporize within hours but even in talking to the staff, I was told they simply don't have much of that kind of stuff and I should keep an eye on their Twitter feed.

I agree that its without a doubt the best bottle shop in the area, but on par with other shops in the Midwest, I think it's a bit below the A+ its been given on BA. Perhaps their rather large Home Brew shop lifts their score... but as a bottle shop, I've seen stores more deserving of such a high score.

Nice selection, single bottles, good international variety.

Third stop on a recent trip to Grand Rapids with nicktbm and our significant others. Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon just before heading to the 9th Annual Founders Harvest Party.

This place has an endless selection of craft beer. Half-a-dozen aisles are lined with every beer imaginable from popular US micros, local Michigan crafters, and reputable European breweries (both new and old).

I grabbed 25 bottles, including Avery Ellie’s Brown Ale, Southern Tier Harvest Ale, Stoudts Fat Dog Imperial Oatmeal Stout, Arcadia IPA, Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Weizenbock, New Holland Mad Hatter IPA, 2007 Gale’s Old Prize Ale, and Mikkeller Stateside IPA, among many others.

As with any large beer store, you have to watch for out of code products, but most of the stock is new. The staff and customers chatted with us while we were shopping and told us more about the Harvest Party and what to expect. One of the clerks was particularly helpful in recommending good Michigan brews. My friend and I received 10% discounts on our cases and the cashier suggested that we check out Graydon’s Crossing for a great beer bar. We took him up on his reco the next day. In terms of prices, 25 beers came to $70, which is fair enough to me.

Overall, Siciliano’s is a world class beer store with all sorts of "extra" goodies like cigars, home brewing supplies, and wine-making kits. It’s an absolute must-visit in the Grand Rapids area, and the best beer store that I’ve come across thus far.

This is the only place to buy craft beer in Grand Rapids. There really is no point in looking anywhere else since Sicilianos has the largest selection. The staff is very friendly to the point of knowing my name soon after I started shopping there. I also brew so the store is amazing in that regard. The staff knows there beer and are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to brewing. It is always fun to walk in there to find out what new beers they have in stock. They recently expanded and took over the space next door. This allowed them to add to their homebrew supplies.
