Surprise, surprise, they already changed the name. Third time in less than 3 years.
I give this place a year, tops.

It's not Beckett's anymore, not that anyone cares, but not real sure about the new name guys. Stay tuned in a year when it re-concepts into something else...
It's been a little while since i've been in this place, but they did away with the cozy elements in favor of a more modern and minimal decor. Some abstract art around with dog stencils on them, no comment. Thankfully they didn't touch the back bar, the crown jewel of the space. The 2nd bar in the back seems to be only for private parties, closed in by a sliding panel door. Less tv's, at least the ones above the tables were turned off thankfully. The vibe is alright, though I could see it getting loud when crowded.
Beer list is okay, many craft staples, nothing too far out of the ordinary. Draft Bells Smitten ($5) and O'so Memory Lane were all I needed to hear. There were 6 drafts on nitro, and a dozen drafts. "Cuvee De Jacobins" (Rouge was not mentioned, huh), Deschutes Red Chair on nitro, Lagunitas IPA, some imperial chocolate stout from Breckenridge. Mostly safe stuff. Maybe 50 bottles, the bellwether Krankshaft was oddly $6. Must be to keep out the lager swillin' Riff RAff :)
Service was quick and friendly, Jess was our waitress, and she was nice. Everything was prompt, no complaints. Food didn't come out with plates or silverware, but we got utensils when asked. Appetizers were ok, nothing special. Samosas tasted like the frozen ones I eat at home.
Overall this could be a spot on a Lincoln Ave. pub crawl, but there's not much of a unique draw here, food/beer/otherwise. In the immediate area, Northdown, Green Lady, Fizz etc STILL run circles around this place beer wise.
