Great to be in smokefree Brookline. We went on a Monday, trivia night, and I was happy to win my girlfriend a nice new tshirt. The service was solid and helpful. The place started filling up as we were finishing up our meal though and I was glad to get out of the noise. The bar area was over flowing to the tables so we had drinkers standing around us. The beer selection was great, but I was a bit upset when I got the bill. $5 for a pint of Stone IPA... yikes! Food was top notch too. I'm not sure my wallet can afford a $5 Magic Hat when I can get a growler refill for the same price on my frequent Vermont trips.

I like this place. I've gone a couple of time after work for a couple of beers. It's a sports bar so if your into sports, particularly Boston sports, you'll really enjoy this place. It's got several TV's all through out the place. It's a bit small so the TV's arne't huge but it's still a pretty nice/cozy enviornment. I think the quality is pretty good, nothing to write home about, but above average. They seem to keep the place pretty clean. I think the service is good, I've sat at both the bar and a table and the staff will generally take pretty good care of you. I haven't found any staff members generally very helpful about a recommendation, but then again, the selection isn't overly stellar so you might not need one. They have probably about 20-25 draft lines with some micro stuff, and pretty common imports. They always have Sams Seasonal and I've seen the Brick Red there for the past few months. As well as products from, Anchor steam, Sierra Nevada, Cape Anne, and Harpoon. They have the woodchuck and harpoon cider's as well. There's still mainstream stuff like bud and coors. They have some imports but nothing too special, Guiness, Bass, and I've seen Hoegarrden. The most unique import I think I've seen was Boddington's Pub ale. So they do have some variety, you can find something you'd like there. I haven't had a ton of the food, but everything I've had was good, reasonably priced and good portions. A co-worker and I went after shift one day and each got 2 beers and split a 1/2 order of buffalo wings and it came to only about 15 bucks a person which was pretty good I thought. All in all I'm pretty sure I'll be back, I enjoy it there. My only concern is that I go late at night during the week, it's never busy and I don't have an issue parking. I can imagine if I were to go at a busier time than it would be a completely different story. For now I'm happy with it.

Stopped in here last Saturday evening after a movie in Coolidge Corner. Had not been in here in years so I thought it would be a good time to check it out. Fairly crowded for a Saturday, but not too bad, so we got some stools near the bar. Lots of local sports stuff on the walls, but it all seemed very dated. There are lots of tv on the walls that were showing the MLB package, so there were like 6 games on at once. I thought it was strange that this is a "sport bar", yet there were none of the ever-present huge plasmas televisions. There are just a bunch of the small LCD type tvs every three feet. Service was pretty good, as the bartender helped me as soon as I approached the bar. Beer selection, on the other hand, needs some help. I found three things wrong with this bar. First, there was no "craft" beer on tap, out of like 20 taps. It was lots of Sams, Harpoons, Magic Hats, Sierra Nevada, Anchor, and the usual Irish stuff. Second, there was no foreign made beers on tap, except Dos Equis and Guinness. Third, other than Guinness, there were no porters or stouts on tap. It was all ales and lagers. Went with two Sam Adams Cherry Wheats for old times sake. Comes to $5.50 a pint, which is kinda steep for a Sam. Didn't try the food, as it was late night. There are better places to get a beer within easy distance, and there are better places to watch a game in the area. I guess I cannot find a reason to head back here anytime soon.

Nice location, as the name suggests, but not a great place for beer per say. Some good local brews, your Same Adams, and Harpoon, with a few gems.

Great sports memorabilia adorn the walls, with plenty of TV's for any sports event. A bar side is separated from the dining section.

Did not sample the food, but I to hear tell that the burgers and sandwiches are amazing.

Decent Service, though they did seem to forget us in the corner once or twice amid the larger groups of patrons.

A great place to watch a game with friends and relax with a decent beer. I am sure I would appreciate this place much more out here in Brockton, than amongst the beer giants it resides near in Brookline.

My views of the Clubhouse may be tainted by the fact that I ran into an AB rep there on my first visit. Its' that type of place, it boasts 20-25 taps and an extensive bottle list, but its the type of place where I struggle to find something I'd enjoy ordering among the 25 taps. They have 3-4 each for Sam and Harpoon, and usually a Sierra Nevada Tap. Good beers, it's just hard for me to get excited about those.

There's a basic sportsbar/college bar serving average pub food, with average to disinterested service, with prices that make sense for Coolidge corner but are a bit pricey if people are choosing between bars in different neighborhoods.

Like the atmosphere of the Coolidge Corner bar/grill, very homey, festive, and comfortable. A great place to be a "regular." The menu is absolutely huge here - they have about 50 different sandwiches and almost any other bar/grill food you can imagine. I thought the food quality was decent and above average bar food. Beer quality is irregular - my Long Trail was super fresh but gotta admit my Sierra Nevada tasted very stale. Beer selection is respectable, as they have many taps although a lot are filled with common garbage. There should be one or two beers on draft that stand out but overall the selection is just slightly above average when compared to your typical Boston bar. Bartenders have always been super attentive and efficient although certainly have no interest in discussing beer or holding any kind of conversation. I still recommend this place if you live in the area, although certainly not a place to hit up if you're only visiting Boston for a limited time.

Have been here a couple of times, but hadn't thought about rating it as I didn't think it was a beerbar. With that said, I like the CCC, but there are other places I would go first for a beer. This is a great place if you want to watch a game, knock a few back, and have a huge hulking sandwich topped with about a pound of french fries.

Food is above average, but mostly just bar food. The allure of this place is the atmosphere or to watch a game. Menu is pretty crazy also. There are easily upwards of 50-75 different sandwiches, burgers, chix sandwiches, etc. There are almost too many making a choice very hard as you have to read the whole thing to find someting you want.

Every item on the menu is named after a sports figure, mostly from Boston, but there are others. I like this idea and it goes with the atmosphere of the place. Covered in Boston sports memorabilia and doning about 25 or televisions allows you to watch anything and everything. On tv when I was there included softball, rugby, ultimate frisbee, nascar, baseball, etc.

The tap selection is average. 36 taps or so with 3/4's or more of them being macros. Of interest included Ipswich (seasonal), Harpoon seasonal and ipa, Long Trail, Sierra, Hoegarrden, Sam Adams and a seasonal Sam. The Long Trail, which I had, was a bit flat and it seemed as though the lines needed to be cleaned.

Emma didn't know what to get, so ordered a blue moon, which was flat and tastless. There were two other beers on tap, which weren't on the menu that she would have gotten--she wasn't that happy about that.

Waitress was nice and did everything she needed to do, but not exceptional, just good. Reasonably priced.

one of my favorite sports bars, but not a great beer bar.

first, the good: i love the food. half order of nachos will feed four; wings are great, as are the ribs and curly fries, and there's a big basket that combines those three into one heartstopping plate. tons of flat-screen tvs showing every game.

beer list is relatively large, but not that impressive. sam adams lager and seasonal, magic hat #9, a few harpoons, boddington's, smithwick's, guinness, sierra nevada, etc., plus all the macros. probably about 40 beers in total, but nothing to get that excited about. better options available in every direction (publick to the west, sunset to the north, linwood to the east). i'll go back for the food, but there's better places for beer.

Decent selection of beer, perhaps too many macros and mainstream imports for me. It seemed every beer was served nearly ice cold and with little to no head at all. I bet you their lines need to be cleaned and/or they need to use a better rinse on the glasses because just the smallest amount of residue will kill a head. Oddities like Dos Equis Amber on tap were nice to try though ever the pint of PU suffered from the residue.

This is an obvious sports bar, again a decent selection ... and that is about it. I'd go again if they'd have some clean glasses, perhaps some traditional branded glassware rather than generic pint tumblers as well. No real reason to hit this place again with other great beer bars in the area.

I can't believe this place has survived as long as it has on the ever-gentrifying Harvard St. in Coolidge Corner. Where the fuck is the Tam? Now that was a real bar. And the Videosmith? Brookline sucks. Anyway, the tap line is nothing tp brag about. If there's anything the Clubhouse is known for, it's the hugenormous proportions of food they send out from their kitchen, much of the dishes named after local sports figures. If there's one selling point for this place it's that they offer brunch on Sunday, a rarity in this little corner of the world.

The atmosphere at the Coolidge Corner Clubhouse sort of reminded me of a cross between my first apartment after college and a sports bar. Very small and cramped as if they had more stuff than space to put it, a little dingy, with lots of sports memorabilia and TV's along the walls. Split into a bar section on one side and booths and tables on the other. Keno and golden tee were also available to keep you occupied.

With 32 beers on a tap and a dozen in bottles I was actually quite surprised by the selection of beer. The day I was in they had Stoudts ESB, Sierra Nevada Porter, Arrogant Bastard and Post Road Pumpkin, not to mention the normal selection of Macros and local micro favorites (Sam Adams, Harpoon, Pete's, etc). The bottles didn't waiver much from malternatives or corona. Although to be honest the tap lines seemed like they hadn't been cleaned in a while and you really have to question how fresh the more obscure beers are. Miller light seemed to get ordered a bit more than the Stoudts.

Our bartender was very courteous; she even showed my girlfriend how to play keno. We didn't win. I also didn't get a chance to try to the food, but it did look very appetizing and I'll definitely have to go back to give it a shot one of these days.

I wasn't really blown away by the Coolidge Corner Clubhouse. I suppose if I diehard sports fan it might be a nice little hole in the wall to catch a game and a beer. But at $5 a pint and Anam Cara 3 T stops down I don't think I'll be back here anytime soon.

i guess the appeal to this place is sports and good beer, but i'd rather pick from a wider selection at marty's or blanchard's and sit my butt on the couch and watch a game. last time i was in here the place was dead (maybe 3 tables filled) and the service was simply awful. the server was slow, not helpful and kind of rude. what the hell was he doing? he only had one other table...max. the beer selection is okay. they have more brews than alot of other places, but there's not one specific brew that they have that jumps out at me as awesome. the food is pretty good, nothing phenomenal, just basic sports-type american grub. if i feel the need to go to a place like this, i'd rather sacrifice beer selection (sorry) and hit the sports grille down by the fleetcenter, where the atmosphere kicks much ass, the food is good and reasonably priced (the coolidge corner clubhouse is definitely overpriced), and i can still at least get a sam adams or the like.
