Black Shirt has anything for red ales; 6 in the flight and 1 that was experimental with Chai tea. The brewers/partners are very accessible and can tell you whatever you want to know. They have a great story and enjoy sharing it (like ask them how they came across the equipment).

Red ale may seem dull, but when it's done as an English ale, an IPA and a couple saisons...well, you just have to go.

The tables/tops are the flooring out of old Coors trailers. Beer is served out of glasses intended to hold the aroma (though if you have a really big nose you can use the other side).

Park in the lot on the opposite side of the liquor store - it's well marked. We were on a brewery crawl so spaced-out and didn't think to ask about beer to go, so if someone goes in, update the info...and try to get a picture.

A brewery dedicated to the red (why not Red Shirt?) beer. From what I understand they take the base grain bill and tweak it with each brew. Sounds interesting and I like the idea. Hinders selection a bit, but hey, I'm game.

I'm guessing an old service station location. Two garage doors, with one on the brewing facility side, the other for the guests. Small room has about 8 tables (4 seaters) and a short bar awaits patrons. A bit dark when you first arrive, but you get used to it. There's nothing special or out of the ordinary here, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It's a brewery. They have beer. You buy and drink beer there. Jiggy.

Good service. Glassware is unique to me. Captures aromas but loses head retention. Still, it holds beer. Location is not terrible, but not the best. Right off the bus line. Probably a good first or last stop on a brewery crawls (it was our first).
