This is a small place compared to some of the 'chain' places on the Cape, and the location sneaks up on you if you're not familiar with the area, but that being said, it's heads and tails above the chains as far as ambience, service and fun. The guys are there ready to give you a hand if you need one, they're knowledgeable, witty and friendly. If you can't find what you want, they'll try to get it, and they have unique products exclusive to them, along with fun gifts for parties or gatherings. The moonshine selection is amazing and so YUMMY! Having a mascot, a beautiful black lab, greet you at the door, leash in mouth, eager for a quick pet, adds to the local, homey, ambience that you won't get in chain stores or run of the mill liquor stores. Unique, fun and well stocked, all you ever need in a liquor store. Cheers!

Have visited several times with good results. Probably the best selection of craft beers on the Cape. Service was very helpful when asked, particularly Ryan who led us to a couple of finds. We will definitely return.

Very friendly staff, pretty big selection of craft beer, because it's the Cape you have to watch your dates, they don't have the foot traffic a typical bottle shop would have. Same with pricing, maybe because it's the cape or that it's a tourist area, I felt they were a bit high.

Despite being in an odd spot (you'd have to find your way around in the summer rather than taking a left), this store shines above the rest. The craft beer and import selection is unmatched on the mid-cape. The staff are always friendly, and they've always got something new in stock.

These guys were great. I was visiting from Florida and they walked me through what was popular and hard to get and what was worth it and not. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. They have some from what pretty rare and unique beers. I am definitely stopping back the next time I return to the Cape. And if you are in the Hyannis area you should stop in.

I live in Hyannis. Whenever I'm out for a walk I hit up Moonshine to see what they have in. Very good selection of craft brews, plus the old standbys like Bud, Miller, etc. Knowledgeable staff show that they know a thing or two and the service is great. Very friendly place.

Was on the cape and this store seemed like the one cant miss store to hit while visiting. I agree!
on a main road near Hyannis. Easy to find and good parking near the building. Walking in the counter is to the immediate left and when you turn right you will circle around to the craft beer section. There are three main areas. One shelf is about 12 feet long and seems to have a mix of very expensive single bottles on the top shelf and then has some marked down larger bottles on the shelves below. This is closest to the checkout counter and if you are looking at the shelf you are facing the counter. The marked down bottles seem to feature some past date seasonal beers and older big beers and a few larger bottles from breweries that I think have closed.
Immediately to the left is a cooler of singles and sixpacks that seem to focus on the immediately local brews. I grabbed a 4 pack of Boomsauce from this spot. Continuing left is a wooden shelf with single 12 oz bottles from numerous breweries I grabbed a ballast Point bottle here and there were several others that I was interested in.
Next are some metal shelves of bombers and 750 ml bottles. This is where it really picks up. Lots of Avery, Allagash, Ommegang, Boulevard, Pretty Things, and White Birch. Plenty of locals and things I dont see in COnnecticut.
I could have browsed here much longer, but had to get back to the hotel. There is also a back wall that is entirely coolers with mostly Big 3 on one end but a mix of regionals as well. There were also some shelf tags that mentioned having older vintages of certain beers on the shelf that you could ask for if desired.
I will go back to this place for sure on any future visits to the Cape. Easily worth a visit if you are in the area.
The only downside was they didnt have any boxes to help carry my purchase, it took some digging to find one and I think if they had baskets it would help with shopping. Some help from the staff once I asked for the box and could have gotten help with any products if I was looking for anything specific. They did have a sign about getting a Boulevard glass with every 750 purchased, they were out of Boulevard glasses and matched the offer with a glass from the store.
This was a great stop and I will be enjoying selections from my trip for a few weeks.

On vacation from out of town and was told I should check out Moonshine in Hyannis. I'm glad I did! Very nice selection of beers and a very helpful staff. Was a bit disappointed they were out of Night Shift but that wasn't there fault, just bad timing on my part. Best bottle shop on the Cape.

This store is a hidden gem...go out of your way to find it. Best shop this side of Boston. Nothing even close. Clean as a whistle, Alex, his father and the rest of the staff are first rate. Beautiful black lab greets you as you walk in. Walked out today with the wrong purchase and no problem getting an exchange and a hold on what I wanted.

I have been looking for a decent place to buy beer in the mid cape area for my visits. I found this place through searching the BA forums. I didn't catch the guys name working but he and dog were great. A good selection, well organized as well. I asked him what was fresh and what he recommended for the sours he had to offer. He not only pointed out a few that I have had, or something similar but kept searching with me until I made a decision in a non-pressured way. Will definitely make it back to this place.

Moonshine Liquors is the best place on Cape Cod to find craft beer. Located right outside the hustle and bustle of Main St. Hyannis, it is easily accessible to those who aren't familiar with the area (tourists are rampant in the warmer months) and of course, for those of us who live here. The service is uncanny. Alex knows his stuff and always has the most recent and sought after offerings on-hand.

A sure thing when you're looking for some good beer and good people to provide such.

Highly recommended.
