On-tap 2/7/2013 at British Beer Company in Walpole, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short dense white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains citrus, grassy hops and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts with a strong earthy hops bitterness followed by a mild citrus and caramel sweetness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and creates a decent balance. The after-taste is slightly bitter.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, it’s a solid beer to pound down for a while but there are better choices in the style.

Had on tap at New World Tavern--Plymouth--served into a pint glass

Appearance: minimal head, orange-brown in color, clear, low carbonation

Smell: pale malt, orange, and caramel

Taste: pale malt, orange, and caramel with earthy hops

Mouthfeel: sweet start with a light bitter middle and a stronger bitter end, light bodied, moderate-light carbonation

Overall:A good not great pale ale that I would get again. I like the orange taste here.

I had this on tap at Whiskey's. The color is a dark, cloudy gold with a nice matting. The smell was dull and floral, slight spice. The mouthfeel was nice and soft, a bit grainy. The taste had a decent amount of citrus and some spice that followed the scent on the tip of the tongue. Just started seeing this beer around this spring, and it's a nice local brew.

Very sessionable beer. Appearence is a dark golden color. Smell is mild hints of caramel and vanilla. Light caramel notes with some hints of honey and flowers. Very good version of this style. Mouthfeel is smooth and easy. Not over powering. Definitely worth your time.
