Great bar for a beer stop! Located on the edge of the University of Idaho campus, the Perch has been around since the early 1950s. Previously, they only had four beers on draft, all of which were low end macros catered to college students. Under brand new ownership, they recently increased their draft selection to ten taps, several of which are craft beers. They've also started increasing the selection of 22oz bottles for on site consumption to 27 with more to come. With the planned March addition of 5 more tap handles, all for premium micros, it stands to become the best beer bar in Moscow.

The atmosphere is about what you'd expect on a college campus. It can get loud and rowdy, but is never really out of control. The service is great! The staff are friendly and will often pour a beer and hang out with customers on slow nights, and are on top game on busy nights.

As is common with several bars in Moscow, Idaho, the common serving size is a tub, which is 32 ounces, although they do offer pints. The prices are one of the best selling points to this bar though. The next best bar in town for higher end craft beers frequently charges nearly double the prices the Perch does.

Definitely a great place to go for good beer in rural Idaho!
