Originally brewed in celebration of the first anniversary of Row 34, our favorite Fort Point oyster bar and craft-beer purveyor, Vicinity highlights a neighborhood collaboration of passion and vision. The beer's appearance is a yellow straw-color, with a significant haze. Heavy citrus aromas of pineapple, orange flesh and mango dance on the nose and palate. The pilsner malt provides a medium body and wraps up each sip with a slight balancing bitterness.

The beer pours a nice white and creamy head that dissipates quickly. The beer itself is a hazy yellow and orange color that looks really nice. The texture is very similar to that of juice.
The smell is delicious. It has a nice mango and sweet pineapple upfront with light orange and bitter hop notes around the edges.
The taste is equally delicious but surprisingly different. The first notes to come forward are a grassy pine note alongside an orange note. The sweeter notes like pineapple and mango come out later only to be followed by the pale malt notes.
The feel is pretty good. It has a medium body with a slight heft to it with tingling carbonation. Otherwise, it's pretty smooth. It has low acidity.
Overall, a pretty good beer worth having. It's definitely a nice version of the style.

Poured from pint can into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours an extremely thick and hazy lemon yellow hue with 1-2 inch frothy white head with excellent retention.
S: Mango cream, sweet pineapple, fresh orange, and subtle pine resin and dry cracker malt.
T: Zesty orange, sweet pineapple and mango cream with a touch of bitter pine resin. Subtle backbone of cracker malt.
M: Medium body. Loads of fresh citrus and tropical sweetness. Juicy feel. Moderately strong bitter elements help balance this out.
D: Not a complex beer, but each note is extremely well expressed and compliments the other elements very well. A superb brew!

Opaque and murky, pale yellow. Looks like orange juice. Small white head.
Sweet and tropical aroma; candied pineapple, white peach, mango. Some lychee, honeydew melon, and white grape.
Nice pop of sweet fruit--pineapple dominates, along with white peach, white grape juice, some mango and lemon. Lychee and subtle honeydew melon. Fluffy doughy malt with a slight honey, graham cracker sweetness.
Thicky and creamy mouthfeel, slight tickly carbonation, smooth and clean.

Yellow in color with a very hazy complexion. There’s a fingernail of off white on top. The aroma is of citrus and lemon lime. I’m tasting a wallop of lemon lime and citrus. The mouth is very smooth.

One of my favorite Trillium beers. It is opaque with creamsicle color and soft, thin foam; it is a beautiful beer. The taste is equally citrusy and oaty with a pillowy mouthfeel. I get a lot of marshmallow and vanilla too. Overall, a tasty beer and not overdone.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy off cream head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Almost candied tropical and stone fruit, a touch of melon, ripe citrus, subtle earthy notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Nearly over ripe tropical and stone fruit, pineapple, mango, peach, apricot, and passion fruit, citrus, tangerine, lime, and grapefruit, subtle earthy tones, grassy slightly herbal notes, biscuity malt, and plenty of caramel sweetness.
M: A bit on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Really solid, though it sits a bit on the sweet side. I can't say it breaks any new ground or makes me go "Wow!" like I thought it might given its current rating (4.45 at the time of this review).
