This beer comes in a short-necked brown 50 cl bottle. The yellow label got a cracked opened easter egg with the "Storsjöodjur" (a Swedish Loch Ness-monster). Looks kind of funny.
A: The color is deep brownish amber with a compact off-white large head that takes it's time to dissipate faint lacings.
S: Roasted sweet malt, both floral and bitter hops. Dark dried fruits (cherries) and citric notes. A bit flowery. Licorice and coffee.
T: Dry but still sweet roasted malt, bitter hops and faint floral ones as well. Like strong coffee with dark dried fruits. Citric notes as well. A faint taste of perfume?
M: Body is creamy mediumfull and carbonation is moderate. Aftertaste is medium-long and holds flowery bitterness.
D: Nice beer from one of the best breweries in Sweden, but far from one of their best.

A clear brown amber beer, a light yellow head leaving good lacing.
The smell is rather weak, mostly orange, some grain and hops.
The taste has somewhat sweet, toffee, a bit citric, like bitter orange, and bitter hoppy notes.
Rather weak carbonation, a soft texture with a dry finish.
A rather neutral beer, well brewed, no nasty surprises but nothing extra ordinary.

The 2007 version of Jämtlands Påsköl poured in dark, red-brown color, with about an inch of foam, nice lacing and a lot of bubbles. The smell was fruity and a little sweet with notes of roasted malts, licorice and wet sponge. The taste was dominated by the bitterness. Otherwise it was sweet, grainy verging on dry with a taste of violets. All and all it was well-balanced and probably the best Swedish Påsköl this year. As for the style, I have my doubts about using Munich Dunkel Lager as a heading...

Deep red-amber colour, head doesn't last long. Slightly rich, syruppy, sweet, but none of these are cloyingly so. A bit of berry fruits and hints of spice at the front, quite malty, and the finish is short to medium in length, which isn't a bad thing at all, a very well made beer.
