fun little spot just opened up down on the east side of downtown, one barrel brewing system going. place is neat, old converted warehouse type, with a small chalkboard menu, vinyl spinning, and maybe seating for 30 tops. 5 or 6 brews on, maybe 7. all were okay, nothing floored me, but the winter warmer was the pick of the lot I thought. they also stole my "proletariat" name I had in mind for a super dank, super cheap, working class ipa, but they made it a light golden ale style, kinda bummed... anyways, there were maybe 4 or 5 indie hipster wanabe looking guys behind the bar, so it was surprising to me when I stood there for 5 minutes without being acknowledged in a half full place. what are they all doing back there? seemed weird to say the least, this happened all 3 times I went to get a beer though. I finally got alround to talking to one of owners Andrew, who is a pretty reasonable cat and seems to know his stuff decently well. they don't have the malting facility up and running yet, but apparently plan too. they also host a home brew club, which I might check out before too long. overall a place that's in the opening stages and will only get better. they were nice enough, the beer was good enough, they let dogs in, and they had food trucks outside. they also collaborated with their neighbors the huckleberry coffee roasters for a pretty good stout, so that's fun. will be back soon to check progress. still a league below rive north in beer terms though.

Another new brewery in Denver. This is in the River North/Five Points area, just east of downtown. Easy to miss...just look for the picnic tables on the east side
Not the smallest tasting room in Denver, but it ain't big. Probably 30 people seating comfortably. Bar in the corner, chalk board beer list, and a phonograph player! Nice.
Would be cozy once they gather more nuances. Chairs/stools are bit crass. My toosh went to sleep...
Basic selection, with some odds and ends snuck in. I had a full flight (well, 3 were sold out) for $5...which was 6 samples. Good beer for a start up, but some diacatyl kept creeping in.
This place will be hopping by spring, with Black Shirt, River North and Crooked Stave being in the neighborhood.
Busier this time around, and more chaotic. Bartender had trouble remembering my order, then which beers were what after he poured them. The saison was downright horrible, and when I asked if the ash tray taste was on purpose the bartender said, "what, you never had a saison before?". Yes, as a matter of fact I have, and this is crap. HUGE point deduction pal.
Won't be back here for a while as they shift through the growing pains.
