Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance- The beer pours a nice amber-orange color with a big white billowy head. The head has great retention, slowly fading over time to leave a nice level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is of cereal and grain with some aromas of caramel sweetness. Mixed with these aromas are some notes of a citrus and herbal hop providing a nice balance for the maltier smells.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter caramel and bready flavor up front. Some notes of a citrus hop then come to the tongue as well as a slightly corny and metallic flavor. The off metallic flavor is well hidden by more citrus hop, bready, and caramel flavors as well as by a light earthy hop taste that comes to the tongue more toward the end. While hidden, the metallic flavor is still detected and in the end one is left with a somewhat lightly hopped malt liquor like taste to be left on the tongue.
Mouthfeel -The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner to average side in terms of its creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is average to possibly just above average. Both the carbonation and body suit the blend of caramel, bready, and light hop tastes well with both also making for a quite drinkable brew.
Overall – While a step above many, alas it is just a slightly hoped version of more standard American adjunct lagers.

Despite what you've heard this is not an amber anything. The color was quite orange with a thin fleeting head.
Quite weak but interesting enough, I caught burnt malt red ale like like qualities in the aroma. Slight caramel malt richness and a little burn makes it interesting enough.
The taste reminds me of Budweiser Black Crown, which is an amber lager, I believe. Somewhat malty with a little red ale tinge, it's very smooth and easy with no harsh adjunct flavor.

12 oz bottle poured into Sam Adams Perfect pint glass
A: Clear golden color with a good 2 fingers worth of head that disappears about as quickly as it appeared, with no lacing.
S: Sweet malts with just a small hint of hops, not much else.
T: First thing I'm getting is the sweet toasted malt, then pretty much the same at the end.
M: Medium carbonation, a little thin and dry in the finish.
O: Not a bad beer, pretty easy to drink and not a bad ABV, just not exciting enough to make it a session beer.
