First off, this may need to be merged with the Honey Moon Summer Beer that also exists. That aside, my highest thanks to Another6Pack who sent this to me in a trade and I have no idea where he may have scored it.
From the CAN: "Seasonal Collection"; "Brewmaster's CAN"; "Wheat Ale Brewed with Orange Peel with Clover Honey Added"; "2010 Gold Medal Winner - Specialty Honey Lager or Ale - Awarded to Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat, was brewed in Golden, CO" along with a reproduction of the GABF medal (!); "Blue Moon, Artfully Crafted"; "Our brewmaster is passionate about crafting Blue Moon, and he's now excited to be able to offer it in CANs. Eliminating nearly all exposure to light and air, and with the special liner preventing any metallic taste, the CAN ensures that the beer is as fresh as when it left the brewery."; "Whether you're relaxing after a day on the mountain or soaking up the sun at concert in the park, our brewmaster's CAN lets you enjoy the same delicious beer that you love on tap at your favorite pub."; "In a fitting tribute to those endless summer days, our Summer Honey Wheat is brewed with clover honey for a subtle hint of sweetness, balanced out with a touch of orange peel for a refreshing citrus finish."
The Crack & Glug produced two fluffy fingers of bone-white head with good retention. It even looked like marshmallow Fluf in the glass! Color was a pale lemon-yellow with NE-quality clarity. Nose smelled like a wheat beer, kind of tangy and underlain by a light oranginess. I was glad that it was not as strong as the lime I had earlier. Mouthfeel was medium with that light wheat flavor that I will always remember from Drink Your Wheaties afternoon at SPTR, accompanied by a light honey sweetness and on the finish, orange zest. The finish was semi-dry and quite pleasant. I would probably enjoy it more on a hot summer day than on Halloweestmas (it snowed here two days before Hallowe'en).

A: The beer is clear golden yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly died down, leaving only a thin ring of bubbles around the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of honey and wheat are present in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste has hints of sweetness and flavors of honey followed by wheat and malts along with some hints of oranges.
M: It feels a little more than light-bodied on te palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is rather flavorful, although I think the honey and sweetness detracted from its drinkability.

A: The beer pours a clear golden body with a thin white head that quickly fades away.
S: Just smells like every other Blue Moon beer. Some grain and corn and a little bit of wheat.
T: This is actually not too bad. I am getting a bit of honey wheat and some corn and grain.
M: Very carbonated and a thin body.
O: This is not a terrible beer, but nothing I would ever spend my money on again. I could see enjoying this after mowing the lawn on a how summer day, but it would have to be free.

Acquired as part of the Summer Seasonal Variety pack, my final review from the series. Brewed in the style of American Pale Wheat Ales. According to the label, the beer is "a refreshing wheat ale crafted with clover honey for a hint of sweetness and a touch of orange peel for subtle citrus notes." Date on the bottle is September 10, 2012.
Poured from a 12 oz. bottle to my Blue Moon Pint Glass. Served in the mid 40'sº Fahrenheit.
(Appearance) Pours a fizzy head, off white that recedes quickly. Body is a clear golden amber, heavily filtered with ample busy carbonation. Despite having a decent body, based on pale wheat ales, the lacing is nonexistent and head quality is poor. As the usual Blue Moon, nothing too impressive based on appearance alone. 2.5
(Smell) Sweet honey, cereal sweet wheat malts, and not a lot else. Citrus is nonexistent in the nose. Potency is quite low, and underwhelming. 2.5
(Taste) First impressions are a shockingly sweet honey malt front with a sugary-sweet wheat midsection. Really sweet throughout with a honey drag finish. Citrus is notable in trace amounts, perhaps some orange peel around the finish, not enough to balance the flavors. This is one of the sweetest tasting beers Blue Moon has put out on the market to date; the question is whether you would like that kind of thing, perhaps for desert? As for me, I would have preferred a bit of balance to the concoction and maybe even a lighter body for a more drinkable beer overall. 3
(Mouthfeel) Strikingly buzzy, stinging level of carbonation, like a fork across my tongue. A lot of activity on the tongue and the roof of the mouth, calm down! The honey sweetness and cereal malt amps up the profile a bit. Body is medium for the style, light overall. Alcohol presence is low, likely masked by the carbonation or the honey. In all seriousness, turn down the carbonation because it's borderline painful. 2
(Overall) Probably Blue Moon's most unbelieveable beer I've had to date. How can the most basic of basic beer drinkers even stomach it? I found it cloyingly sweet, painfully over carbonated, and with an appearance like most of their other beers- underwhelming and cheap. How a beer like this can score Gold at the 2010 GABF is beyond me. Be very wary of this beer, you may love it like you love desserts, but even for a lawnmower beer, it's a sickly sweet palate wrecking ball, unbalanced and cloying in flavor. I couldn't possibly stomach more than one. 3

Well I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. It pours up a beautiful golden color with a snow white 1 1/2 finger foamy head. There is not much lacing to speak of. Smell is honey, lemon, bread, and malt. Mouthfeel is a little watery, but there is about the right amount of carbonation. The taste is very sweet, but not unpleasant sickeningly sweet. It is inviting and pleasing upfront. The finish is a little overpowered by the front end, but the front end is so nice that I really didn't notice or care. I actually really enjoyed this.

A- pours a pale yellow with big foamy white head that reduces to a solid layer that lasts long after the pour. Good lacing.
S- Grains and wheat, lemon, a bit sour.
T- A bit of lemony wheat up front, grains, just a touch of malt, Finsihes with a dry slight-hop bitterness. Not as much wheat taste as I would expect.
M- light bodied, crisp carbonation, super creamy mouthfeel for a pale ale.
O- pretty refreshing summer beer. Taste is nothing that stands out but not bad. I was more impressed with appearance and mouthfeel. Not my favorite of the Blue Moon's but would gladly drink these at a tailgate.

Beautiful amber color and pours a pillowy white head. The bottle says it has honey and citrus taste, and though I could smell both the honey and citrus, I was only able to taste the hint of citrus. Overall, I give it a little above average since I was expecting a stronger hint of honey than I got.

Appearance: Depp golden in color, with a small white head, which quickly fades to a dusting of foam on the surface, and a small rime of foam lining the glass walls. The lacing is slight and fine-beaded.
Aroma: Prominent white bread notes, a slight clover honey note, and a ghostly bit of orange peel.
Taste: Prominent wheat flavor throughout, with a wave of honey atop the wheat. The honey actually dominates the flavor throughout, and lingers on past the end of the taste. The orange rind, sad to say seemed absent. The finish was dry, as befits a honey-flavored beer.
Mouth feel: Smooth, soft, full, with no noticeable carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Not terrible, but not up to the level of good craft beer. Still, it beats a macro lager hands down.
Presentation: Packaged in a twelve-ounce brown glass longneck bottle with a twist-off crown, served in a Chimay chalice.

A - straw yellow, slightly more opaque than your standard macro lager. Very little head retention and lacing.
S - Not much there. Honey on top of adjunct grains.
T - Barley, lime, and honey.
M - A lot of carbonation. Too crisp. I'm not a fan.
O - It's drinkable. I could pound these down after having a couple of real beers first. I was very disappointed to start the night off with one though.
My advice: stay away. It's basically Coors Original + honey. That's it.

Poured into a standard pint glass. Pale golden yellow color with very little head.
Not much smell, a bit of wheat, slightly sour.
Tastes Pretty good. It's got a pleasant sweetness with a honey aftertaste, and a nice crispness to it. Not much depth, but it's nice for what it is.
This has a nice mouthfeel, good body, nice feel and crispness.
Overall, despite low marks for the look and nose, this is a good beer. I imagine it's nice and crisp on a hot summer day.

Pours a pale, watery yellow with a white head that dissappears so fast you better not blink. Lace, what lace?
Smell is missing in action. Just the faintest suggestion of malt, nothing.
Taste is better with some malt, some hops and a sweetness that must be from the honey.
Medium bodied, lighter effervescence than I expected. Nothing to recommend it though. Regular Blue Moon is preferable. Somewhat warming after 1/2 a glass.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: Light clear golden color with a white head that lasted only a few seconds. No lacing left on the glass, and a lot of visable carbonation.
Smell: Grass grains and some sweetness.
Mouthfeel/Taste: Light bodied and smooth. Some mild bitterness and a slight honey after taste that did not last long.
Overall: Honestly, it taste like they took Coors Light and added honey to it. It is not a complex as other Blue Moons that Coors makes. It is enjoyable and I do like the Blue Moon and Coors beers, just seems like they really didn't put a lot of effort into this one.

Served on tap at Teak on the Hudson in Hoboken, NJ
A: Pours a crystal clear dark golden honey yellow to light copper in color with some moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a half finger tall fizzy white head that quickly reduced to a thin film covering the majority of the surface and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: There is really not much to the smell of this beer - light aromas of wheat and grainy malts along with some hints of honey sweetness and grassy hops.
T: This beer has a light to moderate flavor of wheat and grainy malts with some hints of honey sweetness and some orange citrus. Additionally there is a very light bitterness from the grassy hops but that bitterness does not linger at all.
M: On the lighter side of medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation.
O: This beer is nothing real special but it is enjoyable and easy to drink, I could easily see this being a good session beer for an outdoor cookout in the hot summer.

12oz bottle from CJ's Potsdam NY for 1.75$
Appearance – Clear yello/amber colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation and there is some fair lacing. The head lasted for around 3-4 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Grains/wheat, corn, grass, light hops
Taste & Mouth - The beer has an above average amount of carbonation. I can taste grains/bread mixed with corn syrup and honey. There is also some grassy notes and a bit of a cooked vegetable flavour. It ends with a slightly sweet aftertaste.
Overall – Not really what I was expecting.. it tastes like a euro-lager in some regards. Nothing really noteworthy.. just a hint of honey. Nothing I would buy again.

On tap into a pint glass at Tommy's Pizza, Huntsville, AL
A: standard golden color, thin head that dissipates quickly, no lacing whatsoever
S: little bit of hoppiness, but not much beyond that
T: Pretty empty - bitterness of some hops, that's about it
M: clawing, syrupy, very little carbonation, almost flat - stuck to my tongue longer than I wanted it to
O: Not a good effort by Blue Moon, their year-round offering is much better, stick with that

Pours clear golden into a pint glass. 1 finger head lingered for a minute. Light smell, mostly honey and not too wheaty. First drink is lacking, but sweetness builds as I continue to imbibe. Mouthfeel is a little harsh for my taste, but crispness lends itself well to this record hot June evening. Hops are nonexistent, a floral nose would be awesome. Honey lingers on lips and corners of mouth. Definitely drinkable.

I poured from a bottle to a glass. I was greeted with a two finger tan head that faded quick to minimal lacing. The color was a clear golden hue. The aroma is shows citrus, sweetness from the honey and wheat malt. Any hops must be of a citrus type that goes well with the orange peel. The taste starts off with the malt and orange peel notes fading to the sweetness of the honey on the finish. The mouthfeel was average some carbonation, but the beer was thin in body. This actually plays better in hot weather in my opinion for a summer beer. Overll this isn't a great beer, but it is a seriously drinkable summer beer. It's refreshing and in the deep south welcome on a day that is reaching the upper 80's in temps.

How did this win a GABF gold medal, pale fizzy golden, bright white head, speckled scattered lace. Aroma has cooked veggies and other cereal grains, with a mild citrus and honey blend. Flavors are cloyingly sweet, who wants to drink something this sweet. Crushing flavor of grains, mild citrus, and sharp honey sweetness actually making me gag. Mouthfeel is sickeningly sweet, cloying light to medium bodied high carbonation, induces a gag reflux. Overall I can't finish this beer, why is it sold in 12 packs, good lord it's horrible.

First review! I've been reading reviews for a while now and figured i'd give it a go.
A- Mostly clear with dark orange tint. Poured into a beer mug and left a very small head.
S- Strong smell of citrus and lemon with an unpleasant skunky odor.
T- Tastes of citrus that is overpowering with a moderate bitterness. After taste of wheat which is quite nice.
M- Light on bubbles and carbonation
O- Overall I think this beer would do just fine on a hot summer day but when other options are present I would skip on the Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat

It's a zesty beer, overall great for summer. The color is a beautiful and deep gold. It is refreshing and somewhat tart as well. Great buzz after a few swallows. I would buy this beer again but it's definitely not on my favorites list. I would recommend trying it over regular Blue Moon, but expect less of the orange-y taste.

Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat has a thick, white head and a clear, bubbly, yellow-gold appearance, with some nice lacing. Aroma is of sour dough and light citrus, and the taste is very strong on the clover honey. This is very sweet, and bread is present. Mouthfeel is slick and medium. Blue Moon Summer Honey Wheat finishes mostly dry and easy drinking. Overall, this is a pretty good beer, for those who enjoy flavor beers (which I don’t, generally).

Purchased for some of the gals with the birthday weekend. Thought I'd give it a go.
Very tame but appropriate yeast character to the aroma. Mildly spicy and tart.
Very very clear gold. Very white head that settle out rather fast.
Mouth feel is quite soft especially with all the carbonation. Moderately light body overall.
Reasonably complex flavor profile. The spices stand out, but aren't excessive (seems like a little cinnamon) and the sweetness is also not overdone. Dries out nicely, but again, not excessively.
This beer is build for drinkability and in that arena it does pretty well. Flavors are well balanced, but could use a little more yeast qualities. This is better than I anticipated. It's a nice drinkable summer ale, done better than many.
