vibe: 3.75 | quality: 3.75 | service: 4 | selection: 3.75 | $$$$
Pros:
For a $1 they'll let you open bottles in the store and drink at their bar.
Grolwers.
Staff seems to have a clue.
Gets the "rarer" releases in eventually.
Looking for something that likely everyone sold out of a while ago? They may have it but...
Cons
Super expensive on the limited releases. FW XVI $25 (compared to $19), BA Bigfoot $22(?) vs $18.
I like the concept and would even hang out there if it was a bit closer, but the prices keep me from making this a frequent stop unless I'm looking for somethign limited they like still have due to wallet rape.

A very nice little bar/ bottle shop in an area that really needed something like this. A bit of a drive if your coming from buffalo, but worth it as its really the only place of its kind in pretty much all of western New York, one that has beer to drink on site, or take home. Also located right next to Bar Bills Tavern which serves quite possibly the best roast beef sandwich in the area.
Only 5 taps which are available for growler fills or pints, but they usually are always filled with something tasty whether it be some good locals or widely popular micros. The bottle shop has a very nice selection including some special releases (bcbs, bourbon county coffee, founders bolt cutter are just a few I've found there). Everything is organized very nicely with ratings and descriptions for most bottles.
Amazing service. Employees are very knowledgable about beer and very helpful. The actual place isn't too big, a small bar that maybe seats about 5 or 6, several tables behind that. This takes up about the first 1/3 of the bar, the rest filled with shelves full of bottles. I was a bit surprised to see a decent little bottle collection up on the ledge full of some nice beers not available in this area (Pliny, dark lord, CCB, etc.).
Defiantly worth a visit if your in the area.
