500ml bottle from Blake. Hazy pinkish blonde, small frothy white head. Peaches and apricots, some vanilla, some wood. taste adds a few savory notes to the fruity mix, and more of the barrel aging comes out.

Lost Toys Blend #1
500mL bottle into a Teku glass
Bottled on: 10-11-16
Consumed Sept 2018 (review written at time of consumption)
A: Pretty clear, small white head, dissipates quickly, little to no lacing. 4
S: Very nice. Oaky, some funk, a bit a fruity sweetness. A bit tart. Tons of burnt plastic like funk notes that my favorite sours tend to have. 4.25
T: Taste matches the nose and is very good. More funk than the nose, some pungent cheese notes. Tons of oak. Pretty tart. Excellent 4.5
M/D: Lighter side of medium body, carbonation high which is appropriate, drinkability is very good. 4.5
O: Very well done beer. Super tasty with about 2 years on it. 4.25

Deep mahogany red color; nice, one-finger thick head. Powerful aromas of grapes, sour cherries. Very tart, sour flavor; cherry cough drops on steroids; blackberry. Medium body; strong, acidic tartness.
This beer will whip your head sideways with a bold yet ultimately delightful fruity sourness.

this beer is incredible and i for one dont care who owns them now. if the beer keeps up tasting this good, i am going to keep drinking it. i get the argument, but the beer is what its all about at the end of the day, and there isnt another brewery out there making a beer like this, so if i have to get it from some global corporate evil in the minds of some, i think i am okay with that. i dont know, maybe this isnt the place to ramble about it, but its sure hard to taste this beer and hate it because of some paperwork that got signed last week, thats for sure. a really neat blend, obviously with some wine barrels in the mix, but its hard to really tell what else in such a soft and well integrated, even subtle, wild ale. lots of oak, almost a new oak vibe, wet and pure with a little vanilla to it, but a very mature bretty funk at the same time with notes of lemon, green melon, and white grape, its a really neat blend, whatever is in it. its surely largely wheat based, and the fruitiness in the finish gives away some wine barrels, very grapey and tannic there, with a highly effervescent carbonation level from the tap and a really round and even relaxed sort of body feel. not exactly sour, but maybe a little tart, more about the funky weird wild elements and the wood than any real forward acidity. great beer, i wish i knew more about it, but its delicious and some of the better wicked weed stuff i have had in all honesty. i sure hope the quality keeps up like this!
