The first release of the series, Red Angel, is set for late March. As the name indicates, this vibrant, blood red sour ale received 1.5 pounds of fresh raspberries per gallon and was then carefully aged in red wine barrels for nine months. After this barrel-ageing period, the beer was blended onto another pound of raspberries per gallon totaling one ton of raspberries and eleven months of ageing.
We took inspiration from the clean side practices of dry-hoping IPA’s and added fresh fruit late in the aging process. The result is a full complexity of core fruit flavors with bright fruit character.

Big raspberry aroma, incredible freshness. Lightly funky, with a touch of sulfur. Flavor is fairly tart. It's not overwhelming raspberry, but the lactic and acetic notes are well balanced and the sour character builds.

Bottled in June 2020 - Great color; slightly translucent. Smell is heavy raspberry and oak. Great jammy, fruity raspberry taste and feel is entirely on point - sour, but without a bite (which I attribute to the red wine barrels). Overall and exceptional beer.

Pours a clear ruby hued red with a thin pinkish head.
Smells of tart fresh raspberry.
Taste follows all raspberry up front, lemon like tartness, lingering jammy raspberry flavor.
Light, crisp body with good carb levels.
Overall a tasty sour, not quite as good as I had built it up to be but still great.
