The original Foremost location, here for nearly 60 years, so I was told.

Located in an old strip mall in a congested intersection on the far north side, closer to Skokie and Lincolnwood. It has been remodeled fairly recently, it was clean and well lit with an odd configuration of aisles that seemed to direct people to one section or the other. Beer was in coolers in the back, warm shelves straight back and to the right. A smattering of craft in the coolers, bombers and sixers alike not grouped together, but the deepest selection was on the hidden warm shelf.

Selection was focused on American craft almost exclusively, only a handful of imports like Sam Smith and a couple Euro macros. DFH 750s, Founders, Summit, Bells, Goose, Anchor, Half Acre, Firestone, O'so Hop Whoopin & Lupulin Maximus, and many more. Seemed to be a good amount of seasonals, and what I looked at was in code. Had some fair prices on the 3 sisters (make that 2) in the cooler. Behind the counter they had a couple 50/50 Eclipse and Big John.

Service was ok, the counter clerk was friendly and read off the descriptions of the beers behind the counter. Overall a good shop for the area there isn't much else of this caliber in the immediate area. Don't judge a book and all that...
