bottle from DeLuxe food aptos, CA
A: Pale hazy orange, fizzy white head
S: Herbal, citrusy
T: Not really complex at all. Soapy and citrusy. Not much sweet malt to be found. Some bittering hops, but not much hop flavor, and even that is not very bitter.
M: Fairly smooth
D: Good, since it's light and doesn't taste like anything. You could drink it all day.
Overall: Just doesn't taste very good first of all. Bottle says it is complex, which it is not. Then lastly it's not hoppy enough for an English pale ale or bitter, let alone a real ipa.

July 22nd, 2015 - Listed as a complex and full-flavored English Pale Ale, the Dragon Slayer has an embarrassingly low ABV for just a fierce sounding name. But the hop profile on this one is a little better and more engaging.

Darker than usual ipa with 2/3" off white head. Aroma hit those malty woodsy overtones.
Taste followed the aroma, toffee, unsweetened caramel and earthen body. Similar to a Burton Ale. Has that vibe, with just enough noble hop to it, maybe even a Cascade or two to round it out into the New World.
If you're a pub aficianado, this might do the trick for you. Otherwise, its just another malty English ipa. Traditional? Maybe.

On tap at Phil's Fish Market Restaurant
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy white head that laces well.
S: Citrus and herbal hops with a little light malt.
T: Grapefruit dominates with a little orange rind and light biscuit malt. Grapefruit bitterness lingers.
M: Light to medium body, light to medium carbonation.
O: It's got a good strong hop bite, but it feels a bit thin and 1 dimensional.
