Surprisingly well done. This has a nice peppery Belgium yeast note in the aroma. It is surprisingly bitter for a Belgium blonde and low in alcohol. This works quite well. It is refreshing and drinkable.

S: Lemon-y citrus. Light grain. Subdued cloves and banana. Soggy biscuit.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
T: Lemon zest. Biscuit. Banana. Cloves. White peppers. Light grapefruit peel bitterness at the end. Multi-bran cornflakes, minus the raisins.
M: Creamy initial mouthfeel. Medium-light bodied. Tongue-tickling lively carbonation. Dry finish.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
O: Trying out the local flavor whose brewpub is actually located right across the street from where I work out everyday on Binckhorstlaan, but somehow never felt (or smelt) compelled enough to visit. Overall a nice take on a "hopped blond"; "refreshing" would probably be the best adjective to use if I had to give it a one word review. If all their other beers are somewhat close to this in terms of quality, Den Haag has one hell of a local watering hole.

Bottle with a bb-date that has expired for over four months. Seems i was sold an expired bottle by the store. Review may be flawed, will have a new one when i get the opportunity. Nevertheless:
Light yellow beer with a huge fluffy head. Took me a while to empty the entire bottle in its glass. Foam stays the entire session. Smell of yeast, toast and some lemon zest. The taste is also quite yeasty, with some hints of banana, lemon zest and grass. There is some pine in the mildly bitter finish. Flavours are a bit weak though. Smooth medium mouth feel. Probably gonna drink a more non-expired version for a second review, because i get the feeling the hops might be able to do a lot more then they did in this specimen.
Edit: Okay, got a second one. Better smell due to grass and floral flavours, but the taste is still too monotone for me.

Poured in pint glas. Nice big white head. Color is slightly hazy straw/yellowish. Lots of carbonation going on.
Smell: I'm not the best noser out there, but I get light touch of bananas with some white bread. Some yeast, something almost minty. Hops.
Taste: Light malts at first, like sweet biscuits. Quite a lot of lemon, some yeast, and a nice bitterness which is not overpowering at all. Later some cloves and other spices (after the beer has slighty warmed up). Aftertase has some fresh herbs, slightly grassy with more outspoken bitterness.
Mouth: bigger than the taste or alcohol would suggest. Nice carbonation, and it really clings to the mouth. Really enjoyable.
Overall: nice beer. Good balance and has some complexity to it, which makes it kind of hard to describe at times. Belgian style comes really through in the yeastiness. I quite enjoy this, it could be a bit bolder tough.

A beer local to Den Haag, which was cool because I was in Den Haag when I learned about this. The brewery is relatively new as well, so let's put on our curiosity caps and move on to the beer:
That's a big head. Big, fluffy, sitting on top this golden yellow beer with a little haze in its body. Glops of lace stick to the glass as it goes down. The nose goes the Belgian route, taking on an aroma which includes floral, white pepper, and grass. Perhaps not as integrated together as more famous examples, but there is promise.
The first taste brings a little sourness to the table. Floral, grass, and a trace of hop bitterness work into the equation, but in general it's a little more sour than rustic like a Belgian pale. The body is light-medium with a very bubbly and somewhat overcarbonated body.
Kompaan 20 tries to follow the Belgian trail, however it looks like it took a wrong turn at the fork and had to retrace its steps. There's promise, but I don't think that it's fully realized.

A translucent golden, yellow beer with a fine lacey head that settles into a creamy layer. Enough visible carbonation.
The smell is fresh with notes of melon, pineapple and grapefruit: a very exotic fruit bowl. The yeast reminds me of the Duvel strain. After that the fine hoppiness comes around, which offers a fruity and somewhat grassy smell.
Taste is hoppy with a herbal and grassy taste, the yeast character is fresh and has a fruity, exotic taste, with notes of pineapple and pear and some kind of light tart fruit. The mouthfeel is a little sticky, but needs to offer a little counterweight to the bitter and hoppiness. Great beer!
