Best bottle shop I've ever been in! Unbeatable service and selection. Tops.

Although the prices were higher than I had expected, it was still comparably cheaper than other locations I have been to similar to this place. I have gone back several times, due to their wide selection of beers. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a wide variety to come here.

First time I had been in this store. I don't live around here. But they had most of what I was looking for. I really liked the staff, they seemed knowledgeable, were very helpful and for an area I don't really care for (family lives here) it made it a nicer trip. The prices were really good. I am happy there is some fortress of solitude for me next time I am here I will certainly drop in.

Both Matt and Chris are excellent in helping you pick out the perfect beer. They'll do free sample tastings of anything on tap. I worked my way through 8 samples before I decided on a full glass. See below for my choice. Pours, regardless of abv are $5 (and are at least 10 oz. to my recollection). Tips go to charity. Single bottle selection is impressive, but I wonder about turnover and freshness suffering at the size of selection. However, I picked a doppelbock and a tripel, so no worries there in terms of taste/time. The locals are both colorful and friendly, a few even... knowledgeable. Wine prices are decent compared to what I see working in a store in NJ. Tap takeovers occur on a regular basis, more frequently during the U.S. Open. Two days ago, Goose Island, yesterday Lagunitas, today local NC craft brews. Mother Earth's Triple Overhead. 'Nuff said. Great time had each visit, will go back tomorrow when it's slow, to chat with the staff, sample whatever is left, and perhaps buy one more bomber. Now... to get them back home, or drink them by Monday afternoon, that is the question.

As another review stated, it feels a bit sterile. There are several beers on tap in the back though so it evens out for me. On the plus side, the selection is fantastic and the employees are extremely knowledgable. There are as many beers here as you can imagine. For an area like the Sandhills, this is a veritable goldmine for beer snobs.

However, the prices here are a bit higher on much of their selection than many similar establishments in Raleigh and Greensboro. Also, I noticed a few beers that were significantly over their expiration dates. Still, Triangle Wine has a ton of potential and I look forward to coming back once it has settled in more.

12/27/13 EDIT: Having been back a few times since writing this review, I have to bump up their quality and service scores. My initial visit wasn't particularly great but I swear the place gets better every time I visit (especially since they had several cases and a keg of Lagunitas Sucks today!).

Go to in the area for a great selection and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Singles are sorted by style and six/four packs by brewery. Rotating taps in the back with some tasty offerings make browsing and sipping a pleasure. Plenty of cold beer in the front for a grab and go.

The building is new, bright and roomy. At first it seemed a little sterile, supermarket style, but it's getting more comfortable "broken in".

Oh yeah, it seems like there is a bunch of wine in there too.

Finally, a "state-of-the-art" beverage retail location here in the deep-dark rural NC outland, one that the "mighty" distributors feel worthy to share their allocations of special release brews! TWC is an oasis in the sandhills for the craft beer lovers!

After living in the area for some time, I was driving myself crazy looking for good beer. I could sometimes find Old Rasputin in a place not too far from where I work and I could find some other stuff at various points around Southern Pines, but then Triangle opened.

I've got a special place in my heart for Peabody's in Boone where I went to college, but the sheer selection of this place dwarfs that. In the past year I've found: Maharajah, KBS, Bolt Cutter, Bois, Rye on Rye, and every bruery or stone release I've wanted. They even had a guy from the other store bring me this years La Folie. You can't beat the service. Not only did they bring me the bottle from Raleigh, but they have taps in back where you can enjoy a brew. They will even let you sample to see if you are interested in purchasing said brew.

The only slight knock I can give it is after coming from peabody's it is less cozy of a building.

The best beer store I've seen in Southern Pines. Great selection with multiple taps in back where customers can sample or buy various featured beers. Prices are reasonable, the selection is extensive, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

This is a needed store in the Southern Pinehurdeen area. I have been having to make regular trips to Raleigh or Greensboro far to long. This store has a great selection of brews it looks like they have at least a hundred or more different brews and wine as well although it is not my beverage of choice. Six packs are arranged by brewery and singles are arranged by style. They have 16 taps at the bar in the back of the store with 2 of them being Nitro. I like being able to order a beer and walk around the store trying to pick out which brews I want to get. They also have a section of local beers as well as a section of imports. I generally try to drink beer brewed locally that is brewed in NC.
If you are in the Southern Pines area and need a brew this is the place to go.
