CAN
Purple tan mouse over oily anthracite. 4.25
Chocolate covered blueberry truffles! 4.25
Liquorice, hit of salt, cherry flesh, meat char, plums, a hit of burnt caramel and a touch of coffee. 4
Medium+, oily, some chew. 4
Definitely salt. Astringent to start but grows: flecks of coffee and chocolate come out. Can’t say I get any cherry, though. Assertive. 4

Tan head with lace. Black color.
The cherry and sea salt are very enjoyable in this stout. It tastes kind of dessert like without being too sweet. Lightly roasted malts with coffee and chocolate.
Medium to full bodied. Smooth and creamy. Very enjoyable.

Color: black, not exposed, light brown foam creates only a ring.
The aroma is coffee, chocolate, pralines with light, seasoned, guilty accents.
Taste: feel sour cherries or may dry red wine, to the notes of roasted coffee and sour, sweet pralines.
Gentian: dry coffee. Saturation medium, as the best match. Alcohol perfectly hidden.

On tap at the 2014 Firestone Walker Invitational Beer Fest held at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, CA.
Pours an opaque black with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, and char aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa and char flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with nice cocoa and char qualities all around.
