Tremendous thanks goes out to e JxExM for surprising me with a 32oz growler of this brew and a matching imperial pint glass to go with it...at an in person meeting where the guy was helping me out with a glass want. True advocacy!!! but i digress...onto the beer...

a - brew poured a classic murky orange with just shy of 2 fingers of frothy ipa-ish white head. the head dissolved leaving the expected sticky chunky lacing.

s - very crisp and clean. great balanced hopping. dank sweaty citrus with some bitterness on the finish of the smell.

t - slapped in the face with hoppy bitterness. fairly crisp. the hops are piney and dank. very fresh...with a bitter finish.

m - clean and crisp...almost soapy. bitter finish. medium bodied, a hint of the heat is present.

o - overall, my first taste of singlecut, a brewery of been quite curious about and this was not a disappointment. not the best IIPA i've had, but one to be proud of from a new local brewery. nice job. i look forward to trying more from this brewery.

A - Pours dark gold, very clear, and a thin but thick and frothy white head, mild carbonation.

S - Grassy, dank, piney, earthy, and citrus.

T - Balanced, earthy with a little bit of grass, boozy, spicy, and dank. The beer gets better as it sits and starts to open up midway through as it warms with more pronounced flavor. Some tropical fruit and spice.

M - Medium body.

O - Clean finish and balanced with light tropical fruit rind bitterness.

This beer was served from the tap at Rattle N’ Hum in New York, NY. It arrived in a chalice glass glowing a muted, hazy orange. It held a one finger head of wet, tannish foam, showing nice retention, and leaving dripping patterned lacing down the sides of the glass. The haze remained throughout, but no sediment was noted. Carbonation appeared active. The aroma gave sticky, nectary hops, which gave way to big sweetness, citric fruitiness, and earthiness with warmth. Otherwise the nose was filled with lactics, tart yeastiness, solidly pale malts, fresh earthy moss, grapefruit rind, and light mineral twang. Our first impression was that there was a nice malty component to meet the strong hoppiness in full force, making for a superb blend. As we sipped, the flavoring opened with pale and wheaty malts, light chalkiness, fusel booze, dirt, musk, and juicy piney and citric hops. The middle came to a peak with more spicy, herbal hops, continued peppery bang of booze, and a more robust pale malt wash. The finish was of medicinal phenols, pale malts, mineral, yeast, faint rye dryness, and a big, juicy, dripping wet grapefruit hoppiness. The aftertaste breathed of more phenols, fusel booze, grass, mineral, musk, and citric hoppy tartness. The body was on the full side, and the carbonation was medium, but with a stark prickle. The mouth was coated with soft, wet foam, with no real dryness to cut on the back. Slurp, sip, cream, froth, and pop were all nicely contributory. The abv was fine, but apparent, and the beer drank nicely.

Overall, the best thing about this beer was the nice hop aroma, and the serious blend of pale malt wash and juicy, bittered citric hops. Due to complementarity of the flavors, the bitterness is never overwhelming, allowing for all of the subtleness of the hops to really shine through. This beer will warm you up, but it sips as smooth as cream, delivering a certain crisp refreshment. This was a surprising local find, and something we are very pleased to have had tried.

This beer is great. It has a ruby red color.

The aroma is of sweet citrus, juicy fruit, and a bit of pineyness.

The flavor is the same. It quite juicy with bitterness throughout. I would love to try this beer next to Hop Stoopid because I maybe could not tell the difference.

The color and the aroma remind of it. The flavor is slightly different with less astringent bitterness. However, it's a sweet lovely Double IPA. I'm glad that a NY brewery can make a Double IPA this good.

I had this on tap at the brewery. This is a very nice looking beer. It had a real nice smell. The taste was pretty good, could be more flavorful, but it had a nice finish. I liked this beer. This is a solid double IPA not a great one , but very good.
