Once a year we release a patch of ERIC that was aged in our Jamaican Rum barrels. The latest batch aged for 10 months and was gently blended with vanilla beans.

Nice taste with chocolate and vanilla hints coming through. Feels a bit flat?

A: Kraken black. Creamy and persistent light mocha head.
S: Chocolate malts really shine and are accented by notes of vanilla, sandalwood, hint of roast. Impressions of dates and molasses.
M: incredibly smooth and creamy with fuller body. Supporting rum elements don't come off as boozy or watery as some other rum BA beers I've experienced.
T: Dark chocolate with a touch more roast than the nose. Low fruitiness, light char, and slight spice to temper the overall sweetness. Overall, comes off as a delicious rum cake brownie. One of the best rum aged beers I've had.

Not only one of the most enjoyable milk stouts I've ever had but possibly the best barrel aged beer I've encountered. A lovely black cascade of a pour. Medium body, with an excellent creamy mouthfeel. The rum notes played so perfectly with the sweet chocolate notes of the beer that I could have sipped this one all night. While obviously NOT retired yet. it's not likely to be available often. I would love to see this one again-here's hopin'!

This beer is the nectar of the gods. It's a shame they'll most likely never bottle this one and you cant even take it home in a growler because of the nitro. Has that beautiful head only nitro beers can have. Thick, tiny bubbles that last a lifetime. Pours out black, not terribly thick with that gorgeous creamy head. The aroma is all dark chocolate and rum; really reminded me of those little alcoholic chocolate things they sell at gift shops. The taste is the nose with a little more complexity and the barrel shows up bit more which translates to a dangerously drinkable beer. The nitro really helps with the mouthfeel and while it wasn't motor oil viscous it had just enough chewiness to keep me happy, and wishing I could have more.

Rum barrel isn't overbearing but really adds a lot to the original
