A - this fall brew pours a dark mahogany reddish, brown color and wells up a half finger of white head that fades to a thin ring swiftly. It's a lively brew plenty of carbonation.
S - A subtle bouquet of autumn spices, subtler than most pumpkin brews. A slight alcohol heat comes off of it, maybe lent from the rum barrel aging. A little sugary sweetness, maybe from the vanilla extract.
T - pumpkin spices, heavy on cinnamon and nutmeg, are prevalent in the beginning, then it fades into the dull bitterness of the rum.
M&D - a nice seasonal brew. I'm not a fan of pumpkin beers, but this is one of the better ones I have had. Nice barrel aging elements. Very happy the spices don't sledge hammer the palate like so many pumpkin brews do. I'll save the whole "pumpkin/oktoberfests are coming out too early" discussion.

L: Pours a dark reddish orange color with a small white head and no lacing, very nice looking beer.
S: Fresh pumpkin, followed by the expected pumpkin pie spices, a light vanilla don't get a lot of the rum.
T: Starts with pumpkin, cardamom, ginger and other pumpkin pie spices, with a touch of vanilla and a very light rum barrel. Solid taste but certainly doesn't really do anything new for a pumpkin beer.
F: Medium body, smooth slightly creamy carbonation.
O: It doesn't reinvent the wheel for a pumpkin beer but it is solid.

Eh, this one is a bit hard to nail down. I drank this past the best buy date by about 12 days. Well it seems to suffer the same issues other pumpkin beers do - the flavors and adjuncts go south and dissipate in the can really quickly. At least that's what I'm assuming, because it just tastes like a brown ale. There is some spices here and at times it almost tastes like a Dr. Pepper or something but otherwise pretty plain. It's weird because it has so many adjuncts and is aged in rum barrels so it should be slightly impervious to the issues plaguing other pumpkin brews. Either way I'll be sure to try it again and re review if I get to try it on draft or something, otherwise it's not quite pumpkin pie in a glass.

My favorite beer by a longshot.
Smell: The people that say it doesn't smell like pumpkin either got a bad batch, have no idea what a pumpkin smells like, or just straight uphave covid. Smell-wise this beer is very pumpkin forwards, with a cinnamon-vanilla background smell. Seriously, as far as smells alone go, it smells exactly like a pumpkin pie.
Taste: a bitter, malt beer with hints of spiced rum on the initial sip, but on the exhale you'll swear you just ate a piece of pie. It's a really interesting tasting, fantastic beer, and it's really easy to drink if you're not a huge beer 0erson. (Or if you are, it's still just as good, just don't expect even a hint of hops.)
Looks: a dark orange-amber colored beer with a very short-lived head, but great, long-lasting lacing
Overall, its a great beer. Not as beer-y as some on this site might like, but as an overall package I haven't had a pumpkin beer that was even close to as good, and I've tried quite a few of them.

I like the bottle artwork, great use of color & I like this horror movie. The pour is tawny orange colored. The taste is rum, spices, & mild pumpkin. This was a light & interesting tasting pumpkin beer that leaves desert like aftertaste on your palate. If your looking for a bold tasting pumpkin beer with big in your face pumpkin flavor then you might not like this. Cheers! B-

A lovely beer. Light on the Pumpkin Spice but a good amount of Rum flavor and aroma. It's more like a rum flavored beer really than a pumpkin beer. I was definitely not expecting so much liquor presence.

Flat. Everything about this beer is flat. Little smell. Little taste. Little spice. Little pumpkin. Just a boring-ass pumpkin beer. Not even sure it was aged in anything other than a closet. Great logo and marketing. Shame the beer is poor.

Bought the beer because of the packaging. That's a bad habit of mine, as it seldom leads to great discoveries, and this beer is among the very few I would be happier to give away than drink myself. While the beer works okay with food, I agree with another who compared it to an alcohol-fused soda with some spices. I guess I tend to prefer pumpkin spice accentuating an already-good porter or stout; here, I think the spices were added as an afterthought just to salvage the beer, as there's less "beer" taste here than in "Slightly Mighty" or other low-calorie craft beers.

Pours a clear amber color with a small tan head and light lacing.
Smells of spice, toasted malt and some booze.
Tastes of sweet toasted malt, a bit of vanilla and cinnamon with an alcohol warm, lingering hot peppery finish.
Medium light body with light carbonation= and watery mouthfeel.
I don't often try pumpkin ales so I am not going to say that I have any idea of how much pumpkin taste they typically have. I don't think this one has any or maybe it's hidden by the spices in the brew. The amount of heat in the finish is not pleasing to me as well.
Medium light body, light carbonation and watery mouthfeel.

Not a bad pumpkin beer!! The pumpkin spices are there but mercifully subdued. More like a beer than a potpourri! Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass this beer features a light brown/amber (mostly clear) body and a light tan/cream color bubbly white head with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is bready malt, some pumpkin flavoring. mild pumpkin spices and a little vanilla. Taste is more of the same, with the flavor enhanced by the very restrained use of pumpkin spices. I did not detect any evidence of rum barrel flavoring. Mouthfeel was malty and rich enough for the style. In all, fairly good take on a style that can often be disappointing!!!
