Notes:
The Two Roads interpretation of this emerging beer style naturally takes a road less traveled. Unlike other versions, ours employs an American ale yeast and no spices. The result is a soft wheat backdrop that accentuates the Pacific Northwest hop character.

12 oz. bottle.
Pale lemon. Slightly hazy, with some particulate matter. Tall, billowy, bright white head. Great lacing. Nose is a mix of yeast, bread, and herbal hops. Some dank. Yeast is definitely of a Belgian nature. Light powdered sugar and lemon/citrus.
Toasted malt and citrusy hop bitterness up front. Cracker malt fills in with some mild sweet notes. Spicy yeast mixes with light fruit flavor (orange and mango). More citrus hop bitterness in the finish, with lingering Belgian yeastiness. Medium bodied with a creamy feel. Not bad, but I feel like the flavors were a little out of sync with each other.

On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings.
A: Hazy Pee Yellow, perhaps a 1/4 inch of head, but was not privy to the pour. no lacing(can't speak to the purity of the glass)
S: Soft lemon scent but not much in the nose.
T: sort of clean and bright but not bright or interesting enough to hold your attention, again maybe some soft lemon notes but that's about it.
M: Pleasantly carbonated and easy drinking as I assume it is meant to be.
O: Ok, considering what was available, but I certainly wouldn't pick up at store. Unfortunately Two Roads year-round options have been uninspiring and this is no exception.

Pour is a glowing hazy lemon yellow with a half finger of fluffy white head that lingers for some time.
Nose is bright and simple, lemon and grass.
Taste is decent for the style. Note of bright, light citrus, predominantly lemon and orange. Follows with notes of straw and grass. Very soft dry hop on the end for balance.
Feel is medium light, but a little to acrid and acidic with all the citrus.
Not a beer for my personal tastes, but a great example of the style from a new brewery. Would be excellent on a hot summer day on the water.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Pours hazy blackish yellow with 1/4 inch white foam. Very clingy. Musty/chalky nose. Taste is wheaty like it wants to go witbier, but no lemon/citrus arrives and so it evolves into a hoppier blend. Bitter lingers long after. Beer warms, and then some citrus shows up. Unique offering for this CT start up. Like what they are doing.

Poured from a 12-ounce bottle into a plain, tumbler pint glass.
A: Pale, lemon-yellow color with a slight, yeasty haze and a frothy, two-finger head of bone-white foam which leaves some chunky lacing on the glass.
S: Bright, spicy and herbal with some citrusy, fruity esters thrown about the lemongrass and peppery effervescence.
T: Mild, twangy citrus and wheat malt pang off the palate, setting up for a herbal, peppery and bitter hop bite mid-palate. The grassy lemon and hop characters blend so with a sharp bitterness that leads me to think of this brew as having more Belgian qualities than American. The hopped out Belgian wit finishes dry and citrusy with a sharp, bitter and spicy wheat bite.
M: Medium-bodied brew with plenty of carbonation and a sharp hop profile keep it very drinkable but somewhat difficult to make return sips too soon.
O: Perhaps it's my interpretation of White IPAs, but I'd hope this brew would be a bit softer with more fruitiness and a lingering, juicy hop bitterness. Overall, I'd say this 6% IPA is more Belgian in nature, and seems a bit like a re-hashed American wit, but it's still pretty decent nonetheless. I'm not rushing back for more, but it's an interesting option.

A- clocks in about 6 on the srm... Very beautiful deep straw hue
S- definitely has a pleasant herbal funk.
T-hops charge up in onset then fall away to notes of grapefruit and cilantro
M- although light and bouncy, there is a slight diacetyl silk
O- a hybrid that balances fun and intrigue
Poured in Belgian style tulip glass.
