(A) Pours clean, dark brown that shines ruby in the light. Little head.
(S) There's a decent amount going on here. A lot of fruit. Figs, some banana, dark cherry, grape, chocolate and toasted malt.
(T) Raisin, roasted malts, molasses, brown sugar, fig and some dark cherries at the end.
(M) Somewhat grainy, medium body. Pretty well balanced but with a bit more on the carbonated side.
(O) Tasted a lot like a quad. It was good, but nothing out of this world. Has a really good flavor. Definitely would drink this one again.

Poured from a 16.9 oz. bottle into a 16 0z. glass goblet.
Pours a clear, deep brown with a yellowish-tan head that dissipates quickly, leaving little lacing. Lots of things going on in the aroma, especially as it warms a bit. Bready Munich malt, chocolate, molasses, nutty and a strong sweet smell. Taste: The first thing that comes to mind is that this is not a Munich Dunkel style. There’s some rye malt character there with a weaker hop profile, much like a Euro Dark Lager. Whether it fits the Munich Dunkel taste profile exactly or not, this is a great beer, in my opinion! Grainy, bready flavors with hints of dark chocolate, brown sugar and ripe fruity flavors. Medium bodied with a light-to-medium carbonation level, making it silky smooth. No alcohol warmth detected. Paired very nicely with the warm, buttered pumpernickel I had with it. Overall, this was a great beer for a great price! I paid $2.39 for a single 16.9 oz. bottle. I will definitely grab this one again.

Poured from a 16.9 oz bottle into a glass.
A: A nice dark brown color with a thick head, very nice appearance
S: Predominantly roasted malt, maybe a hint a caramel, standard dunkel smell
T: A nice rich, but not overpowering taste. Not as smooth as I would have hoped though.
M: Set well on the tongue
O: Just an average dunkel beer, but for a price of just over $2, I would say it met my expectations, though I won't be rushing out to get it again as there are a lot of other dunkel beers I would rather have and pay more for.

I got a single 1pt., 9oz bottle from Everett’s in South Beloit, IL for $2.29 in October 2012.
Pours a very dark brown with a slight off-white head. There is a mild scent of hops and malts but nothing too strong. The taste is ever so slightly heavy in taste but not by much. There is a decent combination of hops, malts, and yeast to make a dark beer that drinks fairly easy. Although it drinks well, it really could use some work in flavor department as the taste is kind of bland. For a small city, this was a rather interesting find.

16.9 oz. brown bottle with clear freshness dating. Poured into a standard shaker pint, the beer is brown with amber highlights. It has a thick and sticky tan head.
The beer has an aroma of raisins, roasted malts and something sweet like brown sugar.
The taste is very similar to the smell. It is sweet with some dark fruit, toasted malts and brown sugar. It almost reminds of toffee or a slow poke sucker. I think it is a trifle too sweet to session, but it hit the spot after working outside and a 60 degree day.
The mouth is smooth with the carbonation really hitting at the end of the sip (if that makes sense).
I would love to try this on tap or closer to the source.

Glass: Ayinger Willi glass
Pours a 1cm head of dark tan foam, densely packed, small bubbles on bottom with large-sized ones settling on the top. This gradually subsides to a thin film atop the beer, thicker around the perimeter of the glass. Body is dark amber brown out of the light, lighter amber brown when looked at through light.
Aroma is fairly lackluster, subdued, and light, with toasted nuts, dark bread, and brown sugar all being present. The ability to notice these increases with warmth of the beer.
The major flavors are dark breads, toasted nuts, light toffee, and brown malt sweetness. The flavors aren't overly strong or superbly pronounced, but they are noticeable and satisfactorily nuanced. Initial flavors on the front of the palate are of a fairly generic sweetness from brown or dark malts. Taste is br. Mid-palate is of darker malt extractives and associated sweetness, mild bitterness, and black breads. Back of palate notes hints of cocoa powder, a bit of dried date and fig ester. Aftertaste of nutty, brown malts with black bread and hints of toffee.
Beer is medium-light to light bodied, with medium-high levels of carbonation that foams the beer up substantially on contact with the palate. Resulting mouthfeel is at first fizzy, then smooth and creamy. Finishes wet, with little residual stickiness around palate or lips.

Pours a clear dark brown with garnet highlights and a one finger light tan head that quickly dissipates.
Aroma is a hint of toasted malt, dominated by sweet caramel and fresh baked bread. There's a hint of floral hop.
Flavor follows the aroma fairly well, with toasted malt forming the backbone and giving way to fairly sweet caramel malt, finishing slightly nutty with a hint of bitterness. A touch of metallic flavor is slightly offputting. Cola emerges as it warms.
Body is moderate to light, with moderate carbonation.
Overall, a very drinkable beer, slightly on the sweet side. Wish that tangy finish was more subtle.

pours a clear, vibrant deep brown, reddish when held to the light, with excellent clarity. Topped by an inch of creamy tan head that slowly fades and leaves nice lacing.
aroma is largely of bread crust-y munich malt. Touch of chocolate and nuts here too. Slight earthiness seems out of place, perhaps noble hops playing with dark malts? Very slight herbal/spicy hop, with no real yeast component - clean.
Flavor follows aroma, plenty of munich though not as "rich" as some examples. finish somewhat sweet and a bit dry in the aftertaste, moderate bitterness. There is a faint tartness and a bit of a metallic/papery edge in the finish; I suspect age is starting to take its toll. Wish there was a date on this bottle somewhere. No hop flavor or alcohol flavor, pretty clean with very light and fleeting fruity notes.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of the style. Slight astringency in the finish is OK. No alcohol warmth, and moderate carbonation.
It's a bit less rich than the style. Picture a schwarzbier malt richness with munich dunkel flavor profile and you're pretty close. Might have been thinned a bit by age?

Served in a mug at Bauer's Brauhaus.
Try saying this beer's name several times fast. Fun. Anyway, it pours a clear sienna topped by a finger of khaki foam. The nose comprises dark fruit, very light roasted malts, light toffee, and raisins. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some extra roast, a touch of toasted bread, and a sprig of light clove. The body is a light medium, with a moderate carbonation and a smooth, wet feel. Overall, a very nice Munich dunkel, easy-drinking and tasty. Good times.

Poured into a tall 0.5 liter glass stein. Copper to brown colored with two fingers of fluffy off-white head.
Rich smelling malt, pepper, barley and slight citrus.
Rich tasting also. Sweet and malty, a bit chewy, almost no carbonation, and a touch of bitter. At the end it has a watery taste where the dominate flavors quickly fall off.
Very enjoyable. Looks amazing and smelled and tasted great. Tough to beat.
