Our second holiday ale is a Ghost Chile Robust Porter. It uses Maris Otter as the base malt, a crazy variety of specialty malts, and American hops. Ghost Chiles were added both in the kettle and post-fermentation.

Pint in a pint jar at Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza. Black, opaque, no head. Malts come through on the nose. Heat on the tongue is perfectly balanced with the malt bill. Medium full body and moderate carbonation. Hugh win.

It takes a moment, but I can feel, more than taste the peppers. On draft a Brass Tap in Round Rock , TX. Shaker pint glass. Dark as coal, even when held to the window. Dark cream, light tan head. Very quickly the head fades. Heavier, foamy lacing. Nice bitter aftertaste. Tiny carbonation.

Really robust malty body. Chocolatey goodness with a fairly mild building heat from Ghost Peppers. The more you drink the more you get to know the peppers.
