Este India Pale Ale es puro hop machismo. Predominantly built with pale and Munich malts, the hopping of this IPA boosts the chingón factor to 72 I.B.U. The hop stars are all the “C” hops (sí hops). The boil is amped with Columbus, Cascade and Centennial. The final kick at the end of the boil is a large dose of Falconer’s Flight, 7C blend (Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Citra, Cluster, Columbus, and Crystal). The robust malt bill and the classic American hops are bridged by a final whirlpool of Santiam, leaving a full, and pleasantly hoppy IPA. ¡Orale, crank up your chingón factor!

Oh-duh-lay. The malt presence has an interesting interaction with the hops. Bold and assertive with only a bit of puto. A unique Dallas IPA that fits in a lot of different contexts. I agree with others who call it old school. Watch El Mariachi to capture the essence of this beer. Chupa mi you know what.

Can BB date 04Jan23. Poured into glass a dark amber cloudy color with a thick white head, with evidence through most of the glass. The smell was rather bland with no significant aroma just some slight bready malts with some hoppy back notes. Taste is more "old school" IPA with no significant hop notes except for a bitter dry after taste. Overall, a bit disappointed. Was expecting more from this beer. Can't say it's a bad beer, but nothing to make it stand out.

First time trying El Chingón, and I have to say there's nothing extreme about this beer, but in a way this makes it easy to drink. There is significant hop sediment in the bottom of the can, so I like to pour most of it out, and then swirl the last ounce or so around in the bottom of the can to get all of that sediment into my glass. This results in a hazy copper colored beer with a finger and a half of slightly off-white head that dwindles down to a nice film on top with light lacing. Smell is faint, but I get mostly white bread and a tiny hint of sweet malt.. the hop presence is almost non-existent on the nose. The taste is very close to the smell, but with a nice hop bitterness... seems to be very balanced with the hop-malt ratio.. nothing really stands out. Mouth feel is a little thicker than average, with moderate carbonation that leaves a really nice coat of hop resin on the palate, resulting in a lingering hoppy bitterness, which is not overpowering, but really actually quite reminiscent of IPAs before the trend was to make them taste all fruity.. Overall, it's an easy drinker, almost no alcohol presence.. just a simple IPA, nothing more, nothing less. Don't expect to be wowed with exotic flavors; this is just a very plain IPA.

Foggy orange with burnt amber to brown gradients and a tall khaki foam head.
Crazy hoppy, it's that old school pine resin forest fire with a touch of biscuit. It's actually not too bitter, though, and its frothy round medium body is quite satisfying.
Holy shit was this a blast from the past or what. I haven't tasted anything like it in forever. It reminds me of Green Flash.

From a can brewed 1/25/21. Amber color with two fingers of white fluffy head. Piney hop smell. Light body and very smooth feel. Caramel malt flavors at first followed by piney hops. A good IPA that's different from the prevailing citrus trend.
