I was there last night to get some beers to take back to MI, that I can't get in MI or OH. The guy who waited on me was very helpful and knew his stuff. They have a great selection and a growler station with 18 beers on draft. If I get the job that I am interviewing for out here, this will be my go to spot.

my go to place when I am on the road
you walk into a warehouse filled with stacks of beers. Aisles and rows of beer segregated by region and brewery, Lines of draft beer for crowlers and growlers, walk in cooler. They painted the floor and it looks cleaner.
The selection is impressive. My most recent trip I picked up Toppling Goliath King Sue & Supa Sumo, Founder Porter. Plenty of NY based beers, good assortment of Vermont (Lawsons Sip of Sunshine) and Massachusetts beers.
Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful staff
Worth a visit each time I am in teh area, you will walk out with something new and good

Sister bottle shop of Westmere, so they basically have the same delivery of beers. So the selection is through the roof with awesome stuff. Still, an exceptionally clean warehouse like store that looks just a tad cleaner than Westmere on the outside. Check it out if you’re in the area.

Loses points on the vibe. It is quite a, well, warehousey feel place. They have a ton of beers...some not normally available in the Capital region. Prices are good, staff is knowledgeable. Perhaps the best place for buying beer in the capital region...if it isn't, then I mustn't have been there yet.

Oliver's is my go-to beverage center! The entire staff is extremely helpful and they always have a huge selection suitable for any beer drinker. I bought a bottle of Green Flash Le Freak the other day that was uncarbonated for some reason, and they were very quick to exchange it for me, no questions asked. I tell everyone I know about Oliver's, now I'm telling you all. You will lose track of time just trying to take everything in.

This place is the real deal. Not the prettiest store but lots of quality beer. Beers are arranged by state, it's a big enough place to do that. Some coolers around the perimeter but we're here for long aisles in the center of the store stacked with beer as high as I could reach.
The girl checking me out saw all the IPA's I had and suggested I try a Space Dust IPA from Elysian Brewing. Great call. I never would have tried it and it was first rate.

Yes this place is not all that aesthetically pleasing, but honestly who's here to look at the architecture?! These guys carry a hell of a lot of craft beer, some of which I had only previously heard of in stories from friends. I'm not a massive craft beer guy...that is until fall season when I attempt to try as many pumpkin beers as possible (Bumpin Pumpkin Beer). Oliver's has been an invaluable resource for seasonal, and rotating, options. They've also been extraordinarily accommodating in recommending pumpkin beers as well as allowing for a little bit of counter swag advertising for my blog. I'm not sure there's a beer these guys DON'T carry. Definitely check them out!

Incredible selection of beers and a helpful/knowledgeable staff. The quarter point demerit is for appearance, since the building and shelving seem pretty old and not attractive aesthetically. That being said, everything is well organized and easy to find. There is always a great variety on the growler taps, with something to suit everyone's needs. I make it a point to stop into Oliver's every time I'm in the Albany area.

This place is great. Knowledgeable and very helpful staff. But the real reason to stop by is the selection. I live in the dc area, which is only a couple states away, so I was skeptical that I'd find beers that aren't distributed in my area. I was wrong. I found so much stuff I had to put beers back to stay on budget (I was on my way back from Vermont so funds...and space in my car was limited) and still walked out with 18 different bombers and 6/4 packs.
