Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle. Head is no where near what a hefe weizen should be. Disapates fast. Color is a light straw orange.
The smell is of citrus and of the obvious wheat. The taste is of some kind of fruit, hard to distinguish.
Mouthfeel is alright, makes my mouth very dry after I drink it. However, the carbonation is pretty decent.
Overall, not a beer that I would go and buy again, but it was part of the mix pack, so it was well worth a try.

look: 3.5 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.5
Appearance: Pours a clear golden color with a one finger head that leaves some lacing
Smell: A little bit bready, with some grain
Taste: Bready and grainy, with a bit of a twang by mid-palate; the flavors fade a bit in the aftertaste but stay consistent
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Drinkability: Easy to drink but not particularly interesting; a thirst quencher

This stuff is very wheaty. A whole lot of hefe going on, more IPA feeling than American. You can almost taste the straw, and you can almost see it too with the clouded yellow color. It's a nice appearance, and it does taste how it looks. I wouldn't say it's too heavy, but I wouldn't want to drink more than a couple, especially on a warm summer day. I'll try Dundee again, but maybe give something else a try.

Review from BeerAdvocate magazine Vol. II Issue VII:
Part of the revamped lineup, the marketing is sly, as the back label is upside-down to try and get the consumer to tip the bottle to read it, which pulls the sediment from the bottom and makes the beer cloudy. Wheat beer or American-style Hefeweizen? It's easier to say--and explain--"wheat beer."
Cloudy straw-beige hue from the sediment. The head retention is pretty damn awesome, but that's no surprise from a wheat beer. Clean beery smell, slight ale aroma of fruitiness, wild flowers and a fermented wheat twang. Clean palate, medium body with a lush crispness and smoothness. A neutral wheat flavor melds with a chalky yeast flavor that drops notes of pear and white grape skin. Herbal hop bitterness and flavor balance out the modest maltiness. Wheat comes off very bready with a mild huskiness from the barley. The finish is slightly dry.
An ease to drink, perhaps easier to drink than most American wheat beers without an unwanted lemon wedge thrown in our glasses. Sessionable is what this beer is, a no-brainer beer to pass the night away.

I say about this beer what I'll say about all of Dundee's beers: If you want to teach someone about beer, by some Dundee styles and train them on what are simple examples of the various styles. This is more of a Hefe- versus an American wheat as I would have guessed. With low ABV, drink away on a summer day.

Review from notes, drank about a month ago...
Pours a semi-hazed straw color with a finger of fluffy ivory colored head. Great lacing & good head retention
S: Plenty of grassyness & breadyness
T: Grassyness, lemon hops & grainyness up front. Dryness, & grainy notes dominate as this warms, a long a slight bready sweetness. Finishes grainy & watered down, fell apart at the end...
MF: Light bodied with soft carbonation, really thins out at the end
Drinks alright for a summer quencher, but I believe this is a one & done

Poured from a bottle poured into a Sniffer
Look: looks like any other wheat beer with a light yellowish orange color. Almost no head.
Smell: has some wheat and lemon but very hard to smell anything else
Taste: the wheat is over powering and can't taste much else.
Feel: very smooth but needs more carbonation
Drink: very light, seems like a alright beer for after mowing

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, some lemons. Taste is bitter, some lemons, a touch of hops. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and has average drinkability. Overall this is a decent beer.

A: Unfiltered gold with a frothy cream head.
S: Very muted to the nose except for some slight citrus.
T: Very bitter throughout, to the point that I can't even make out any other flavors.
M: Thin and dry.
O: Bad, lousiest wheat brew I've ever had. Extremely unbalanced. Crap!

Was given this as a gift while attending a wedding in the Finger Lakes region of NY.
A - Pours like a real nice looking wheat beer. A good amount of sediment is left in the bottom of the bottle ready to be swirled and added to your pour for extra goodness.
S - Not anything outstanding in the scent of the beer. A little zesty and maybe lemon
T - What could have been so much more. There is nothing that stands out about it. It's like it is missing something, very bland.
D - Easy drinking because there is no bite. I'd choose this over another American Macro.
M - A little thin, not overly carbonated. Doesn't bring any excitement to the palate as it's going down.

Poured from a twelve ounce bottle into a standard pint glass
Cloudy gold in color, with a moderate head of foam
Aroma-Faint wheat and lemon zest
Taste-Wheat,subtle lemon zest, faint spice, biscuit notes
Overall,a fairly average wheat, nothing pops out flavorwise. An o.k. summer session wheat beer. Affordable.

A buddy brought this back for me from a liquor store near Saratoga NY while going to a DMB show.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy half way btw orange and yellow with a 1 finger billowy white crown that displays good retention and lace.
Smell: Wheat coupled with both the faintest hint of coriander and orange. Nothing special really.
Taste: Same as the nose. Fairly impotent.
Mouthfeel: blah
Drinkability: blah

Review from notes
This is a light, citrusy, and wheaty beer that could use a little more oomph to it. Very light in body and rather bland in all aspects of flavor and aroma. Pale and fizzy, rather close to the pale, fizzy lagers in terms of appearance, although the haze is to style. I'm not very impressed.

pored from a bottle to a glass
Appearance - kind of light appearance, reminds me of a bud light appearance with just a little more foam
Smell - smells much better than bud light but has a sweet tint to the smell
taste - Its not the best hefeweizen i've had but its decent. it has that distinct taste but has a bland after taste
mouthfeel - goes down easy and gives you a nice burp taste
drinkability - easy to drink but almost too easy to drink for a craft beer

Glass - Pint
A - Half filtered like appearance, kinda orange/brown color, kinda ugly/weird color for a wheat beer. Produced a 2-finger head, retention was okay, a very thin ring atop the beer was left but no lacing.
S - Soft orange & lemon zests, some bubble gum in there, along with lots of bready, yeasty, wheat notes. Nice aroma, pretty good.
T - Wheat/bready flavors upfront, some nice soft orange/lemon zests follow, finishes with mild spices and a touch of cinnamon. Lingering hop character & more bready flavors as well, this one actually has more flavor than expected, and allot of flavor for the style.
M - Very nice moderate crispness with an almost chewy smooth feel, very very good.
D - This beer really surprised me, it's got allot of flavor for such low ABV. I could easily put down a 6pack or more of this beer, pretty damn good. I think I would have this one again sometime, and I would recommend this beer to a wheat beer fan. Cheers!

poured into a hefe glass, some sediment visibile at the bottom of the bottle. pours a hazy yellow golden color with a big velvety looking head that fades to about a half inch of head. pretty good retention and some pretty decent lace on the glass. some very light sediment visible in the beer as well. looks like a good hefe, but something tells me its not going to be.
rather off aroma. its metallic, kinda skunky, some faint whiffs of wheat, a little grainy, and an ever so faint hint of a hefe yeast, really only noticed it off the initial pour.
definatly has kind of the same taste as the aroma. really metallic which i noticed in almost all the genesee beers in this variety pack. grainy, and maybe just some barely noticable tastes of wheat. skunky too. and wheres the hefe yeast?
light body, a tad high on the carb, but it settles out after a little bit. kind of a change from the other dundee beers which seem to have way too much carbonation. but still not an exciting mouthfeel.
if you can get around the off flavors, its definatly easy to drink prolly only because of the light body. but i would prolly turn it down if offered to me, and definatly would never even think about seeking any dundee beer out in the future. maybe just some genny cream ale for its cheapness, and drinkability.

The appearance is a hazy orange-yellow, with a white head full of larger bubbles.
Aroma is sour. Very grainy and the wheat really comes through.
Very minimal flavor to put it lightly. A little malty, but very grainy and a little sour.
Watery mouthfeel. Low carbonation.
Not horrible, but very underwhelming. Not much to speak of.

12oz bottle drank from a standard pint glass. no freshness information can be found on the bottle or the case.
A- this one pours out a hazy golden orange colored body with a small white head. the head sticks around for a bit and leaves behind tiny spots of lacing. lots of carbonation bubbles can be seen racing to the top of my glass.
S- the smell is very faint. a small amount of banana and clove. somewhat sweet. yeasty.
T- the taste is just as subdued as the nose was.
M- medium bodied with way too much carbonation. tongue stinging.
D- i wont be trying this one again. there are much better easily available options for the style.

Bottle poured into a pint glass. This was part of the mixed-12-pack. Pours a hazy gold, with a 1-inch white head on top. Retention is great, but it leaves no lace at all. Scents of breads, wheat, and a little honey.
The body is way overly spritzy and harsh. A little rough on the palate. Flavors are pretty average for this style. Some light bready flavors, mild bitterness, and a touch of sweetness on the back end. The mouth is just too carbonated for me to drink this one down. I can't take it after half the bottle. Tweak that body, and this beer would be alright.
