Last sample beer from the variety pack. Pretty much all have been underwhelming.

Poured this baby into my freebie Sammy Adams glass, a nice amber with a top notch foamy ivory head. Thick rings of lace.

Very subtle notes of pine and citrus, gotta sniff hard to pull them out. Woody resinous quaff, more English than American IPA. Very much a cross-over brew, a disappointing cut at an IPA, but not undrinkable by any means.

I'll sip these two brews tonight and enjoy them, but I wouldn't go after it again, either in a sixer or mix pack. But a decent beer if on a budget.

Bought as part of Dundee's Ales & Lagers Seasonal Pack from Southtown Beverage on 4/26/13. Case price was $ 17.99.

poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Served at cool Temp.

appearance: light amber with a three finger white head. excellent lacing.

aroma: citrus with some floral notes, some wintergreen also.

mouthfeel: thinnish..

taste: a malty IPA with some diacetyl. Candied orange, candied ginger, some mint.

notes: again, Dundee puts forward a decent beer that is not a generic clone of others in the style. I actually liked this one.

Drank from the bottle. Not a bad IPA by any stretch but not a great one either. I essentially bought it because it had a funny name and I like an IPA so I guess I can't complain too much. Worth a drink, but that's about all it's worth.

The bottle says it is bitter and it is. Not particularly bitter, but I'll let it slide because bitter was all I tasted. I still have a couple left so maybe I'll try drinking ti from a glass and see if results differ.
