Okay, this is just ridiculous. Cheap beer like this shouldn't taste this good. My Dad had some of this sitting around and I had this instead of one of his Sam Adams Winter ales. I've always liked this beer, but I hadn't reviewed it yet.
Poured this into a pint glass, it left a 1" head that extended 1/4" above the rim leaving an absolutely perfect pillowy tan head for the duration. Color is amber, leaves nice chunky lacing. Smell is mild, sweet. Taste is very nice, this is an awesome example of a good malt beer with big taste. Not too sweet, nice caramel notes. Body is medium, carbonation is good. I really wish you could buy 6 packs of these.
This ties with Dundee's Porter for best beer in their multi-pack.

A: poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass, pours a yellow amber color with a short white head that dissipates quickly leaving little lacing, clear

S: clover honey, sweet pale malt, slight caramel, slight fruity twang

T: sweet malt up front with a slightly sour flavor mid palate, flavors of honey and cereal grains, finish is sweet and lingers

M: medium to full bodied, slight alcohol presence, leaves a good coating, lower carbonation

O: has an excellent sweet malty flavor but lacks in other areas, good domestic example of the style

12 oz undated bottle poured a golden-amber. Small white head has decent retention.

The aroma [2.75] is a mix of sweet malt, spicy hops and, unfortunately, a whiff of wet dog.
The slightly boosted ABV is all too obvious in the flavor. Both the flavor and the aroma improved with some warming.

O: an average quality lager, albeit with more flavor and alcohol.
