High Falls is often joked about. Most people consider their beers lackluster if not worse, but Dundee's Pale Ale proves that a bigger brewery, let alone High Falls can put out a quality ale.
Though it's not the superior quality of most of the micro pale ales, you shouldn't expect this kind of quality from a macro. The pour is not half bad. Light orange in colour with a moderate head. The aroma is lightly hopped as is the taste. I find thgis to be one of the most non offensive pale ales on the market and great for the rookie beer drinker.

Bought as part of Dundee's Ales & Lagers Seasonal Pack from Southtown Beverage on 4/26/13. Case price was $ 17.99.

poured from a 12 oz bottle into a nonic. Served at cool Temp.

appearance: light amber with a three finger white head. excellent lacing.

aroma: faint pine notes with a hint of citrus.

mouthfeel: thinnish..

taste: a wide variety of hops provide different types of bitterness to a thick bready maltiness.

notes: this actually works pretty well. A pale ale should be restrained and this is that but in a complex way.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a medium amber color with some nice orange highlights shining throughout. Upon pouring there is a one finger white head that has a good level of retention, fading over about 5 min to leave only a very light level of lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell- The aroma is heavies t of a musty malty smell mixed with some notes of a light corn and some caramel, Overall the aroma is sorta stale in nature and not the most pleasant.

Taste – The taste begins with a malty and bready flavor with a hint of caramel and honey sweetness. A hop flavor begins developing later in the taste. The hop is a mix of a light grapefruit citrus and a moderate amount of an earthy taste. Later more bitterness comes to the tongue leaving, a rather off bitter flavor on the tongue. In the end, the mix of flavors leaves a rather unpleasant taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is average. For the style it is fitting, but overall it is rather average.

Overall – This is not one of Dundee’s best. The flavor that lingers on the tongue is quite off with the aroma being rather non-appetizing as well. While most of Dundee beers I think are a good value, this one I do not believe is. Skip it.

Served in a pint.

A: pours a clear golden yelloe with a short white head with not much lacing.

S: smells like wheat, grains, malts, little hops, light aroma

T: light flavor, wheat, bready, light flavor, hops too

M: very light flavor, kind of out of proportioned with the high carbonation, but its still very crisp and refreshing just not amazing or above ordinary.

O: overall, for its price, I'd rather drink this than other beers in the same price range, it's just alright, recommended by me.
