First time visit on 11/24/2012. As soon as you walk through the door you see a counter that looks more like a coat check than a host/greeter station. That is soon displaced by the old, assumedly-German guy playing some seriously legit accordion. The decoration looks German beer hall, old wooden picnic tables, round, thick wooden bar tables. Tons of authentic German beers are available along with a heavily German menu. I recommend the Sauerkraut balls and the extremely hot mustard on the table. I can't help but notice the layout that used to be BW3, it doesn't help that this is inside the end of a "strip mall" per se'. I would hope they could make it a tad more authentic, maybe add some flags and brighten it up a bit. I'm hopeful for this place. The only other place we have is Schmidt's in German Village but that's in a league of it's own and definitely isn't going anywhere.

The atmosphere is very German, but not over the top, what you would see in Germany. It is located in an old BW3's so that is the floor plan. The beer selection of draft and bottles are the best assortment of very good German favorites in the area. You can get them by the .5l or full Liter mugs as well. They did not use different glassware for different styles as in Germany. Start with a pretzel appetizer, that comes in two sizes. They have several German mustards and a spread that is outstanding. There are many types of brats and great pork schnitzel. I have tried several of them all very good. Service is very good, some of the servers are from Germany as well. Authentic food and beer. Great place.
