This liquor appears that it used to be an old gas station. Beer is all over the place, on the shelves, in the coolers, on the floor, without any sort of organization. The place was also fairly dirty. Also some of the beer in the warm shelving were just sitting in the sunlight, MmMmmmm....
After looking around they had many german and local beers, but a lot of beers from other countries really weren't stocked. While I was there for the 5 minutes just to check it out, no one said a word to me, or offered to help. The employee just sat around talking to his friends...real helpful.
I might come back to see if I can find something that other stores don't have, but, I'd be worried how old it is.

This place is pretty much the epitome of the average beer store. Average selection, meets average service combined with average prices.
Anyway, this place is sort of hard to spot if you're not looking for it. I'd been in the area a bunch of times, so I knew where I was going.
As I stated above, the selection is pretty average. If you can find it here, you can be guaranteed of finding it at any of Boulder's better stores. One of which is just down the street. US craft selection is pretty good, and the big import brands can be had. The glaring weak spot is the Belgians, as there are only a handful on hand. On the up side, everything is cold, which is more than many stores I've been to can say.
When I was there, only one person was working. He was nice enough, but pretty much ignored me and watched sports on the TV.
Prices are about average for Boulder. The number of sale items was a nice plus, however.
All in all, I doubt I'll be back here. There are too many other superior stores in this town.

I have to admit I really was not too crazy about this place last time I was there, but I actually did go back a second tme. On my first trip through I did not spend much time but noticed they had a decent import selection, so I decided to go back and see what else I could dig up. Low and behold I found some choice imports that I had not seen before so they are good for something .A pretty average store to be honest though, no real organization and the help was non existent. I wouldnt call it a destination, but for me everything and anything is a destination so I would stop in if I drove past it, you never know what you would find.

This is an ok beer store. The store mainly concentrates on beer but they do sell some liquor and wine. The store is dirty and unorganized and has about a 12 door beer cooler but then 3 or 4 small 2 door coolers filled with singles.
The selection is nice but is nothing spectacular. A nice selection of local Boulder bombers and an overall nice selection of singles from around Colorado. However, the import selection is lacking especially the Belgians. Descent selection of Germans though.
I found the placement of the beers to be all out of whack. The one employee that was working at the time was kind of a dick to me and showed absolutely no knowledge of any of the beers.
The Boulder Beer Emporium is still a very solid beer store. If you are in Boulder, check it out, you might find a hidden gem here. Otherwise, skip this place.
