Pours a dark brown with a reddish tint and a thin head into my glass. It's supposedly a "brown" IPA, which to me, implies that it's a hoppy brown ale of imperial strength.
Smokey/roasty notes upfront that to be honest, smell quite odd. This has to be a more recent bottling as I haven't seen it on shelves for a few weeks.
Aha, the taste is much better. It's a good mix of hops with a brown ale base. Brown sugar, citrus and grassiness from the hops.
Feels "musty" in a sense. No way to date the bottle. Possibly infected as well as there's some funk where it shouldn't be.
I like the concept but the execution needs some work. As it is, it reminds me of a failed homebrewing effort more than a professional job. And to be honest, I've never been satisfied with my own homebrewing skills. It can definitely be improved upon.

22oz bottle purchased as a single from somewhere in the Middlebury/Burlington area.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/4" off-white head over the clear brown brew. Head dwindles to a skim promptly, with slow falling lace. Aroma is sweet.
Taste starts with nutty malts, a buttery light fruitiness in the middle, and balancing bitterness to close. Mouthfeel is reasonably smooth, and drinkability is okay. What seems like diacetyl, I could do without.

A-Drank from 22oz. bottle and never poured it
S-Roasted malt but with noticeable hop aromas
T-Like the name implies, it kinda tastes like nice hoppy mud. Haven't found anything to compare it to, but I really like it. Not overly malty, but there's definitely noticeable hops.
M-Quite smooth, not a style that I have seen many places, so I'm not sure what to expect.
O-If you can find it, get it.

Picked up with rudzud on our last trip up to Hunger Mtn Coop, so figured I'd share it with him.
Head tries to pop up but just ends with little clusters of bubbles here and there, very dark murky mud brown color.
Nose light piney hops, but grassy and herbal chewy like hop, faint phenolic apple thing and a booze kick, very light brown sweet malts, a little roasted brownie that is stale.
Taste starts meh, light sweet boring brown malts, hint caramel syrup, light dank wet German bread, with some warming booze and touch of alcohol esters. Hops are there but also meh, light herbal grassy old almost moldy hops like they were sitting in a dusty cellar with the hops open to the air for months, light astringent bitterness, blech. Finish sticky fairly nasty brown wet bread, astringent piney grassy moldy hops.
Mouth is med bodied but little sludgey and syrupy, light carb.
Overall not very good, not quite offensive but pretty bad almost all across the board. There doesn't seem to be anything they did right in this one, sorry guys but maybe time to take a step back and evaluate your recipes, brewing process, and ingredients.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing this bottle from a trip to hunger mountain.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a crystal clear dark brown hue with a quarter in off white head that faded to leave spotty lacing and light wisps.
S - Aromas of a pine hops, alcohol, phenols, roast malts, and some weird aroma...I can't place.
T - Taste is just awful...well half step above it. Dusty old hops, acrid notes, moldy...just unpleasant. Older hops jump in, stale, light sweetness.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated. Not bad.
O - Overall though this beer was awful. Drank just enough to get this review in.
