Beer Growler Nation is located in Decatur, the Beer Capital of Georgia, and has been open for about a month. The store itself is in a shopping center surrounded by a number of successful restaurants and bordered by a couple of nice neighborhoods. I have visited twice now and I have found the service to be top shelf. Both times I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to answer any questions and make suggestions on my beer purchases.

The store is brand new, very clean, and they offer 30 different taps to choose from which during my visit included a pumpkin cider, a root beer, and 28 different beers. I have found the website is kept up to date with their current menu so one can always pre-shop before heading over, which is nice.

They have two size growlers coming in 64 and 32 ounces and they allow you to switch back and forth when you bring the growler back without having to pay an additional deposit. There is also an assortment of logoed glassware for sale as well as a small assortment of cheeses and craft beer ice-cream, which may require further investigation.

Overall I find it hard to believe anyone would complain about this new growler store in Decatur and if they did, my guess is they wouldn’t be a friend of mine for long. Go there, enjoy, you’ll be happy.
