On tap at 38 Degrees in Alhambra, CA.

Pours a clear orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest. Taste is much the same with earthy and herbal flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but it seems pretty subdued in the aromas and flavors.

"3Point5 Pale Ale" Served on-draught into a 4 oz taster at Avery brewing. Reviewed from notes taken in December 2012.

A: Pours a quarter finger beige colour head of nice cream and thickness, and fair retention. Body colour is a clear pale copper. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.

Sm: Floral hops, pale malts, hints of citrus, and wheat (?). An average strength aroma.

T: Clean malts, floral hops, and soap. This clearly spent too long in primary. Balanced but overly simple. It's decent, but not impressive. Quite boring and bland.

Mf: Smooth and wet. Decent carbonation. Decent thickness. Suits the flavour profile okay.

Dr: Drinkable and enjoyable. A good session beer. I wouldn't get it again; it's quite pedestrian.

High C

On tap at Avery. Light golden. Mostly pine with some earth. Fairly heavy hops and fairly bitter. Light and crisp.
