Review #200! Drank this collaboration brew between Avery and Mountain Sun at Vine Street Pub in Denver. Poured into an 8 oz. goblet.
A- Pours a dark, black coffee color. Produces a fingers width of off-white head that lasts for quite some time.
S- Potent yeast, spices, subtle grape/fig fruitiness, and traces of honey sugar all wrapped up in one big box.
T- Upfront yeast and spices are accompanied by a slight bitterness. Midway through a growing fruit flavor of currants, figs, and grapes give off a wonderful semi-sweet finish.
M- Good amount of carbonation. Medium bodied. Loves the sticky effect this beer had on the palate.
D- For a saison over 9% abv. this was damn drinkable. My 8 oz. pour was gone before I even knew it.
Overall, very pumped that I got to try this beer. Definitely worthy of a 200th review.

I'm went to Vine Street pub in Denver hoping to find this collaborative brew with Mountain Sun.
Black cherry looking pour...deep red, kind of glossy. Nice head, not mind blowing but solid. Good swirl and it returns.
Spicy aroma, rich yeast and hints of clove and juicy dark fruits. Not a strong aroma.
Taste follows the nose. Rich and yeasty, not sweet. Juicy with hints of spice and light raisin.
Great feel to it and very drinkable considering the abv. I probably could have had 3 more.

On tap at Mountain Sun, $5 for an 8 oz glass. Apparently this was a collaborative brew between Avery and Mountain Sun. Dark black with a great head that lasted quite a while. Smells interesting, spicy. The taste is really good, a little sour, a peppery finish and a great mouthfeel. This was quite the surprise and I was glad I ordered it. Excellent saison.
