Avery IPA pours a golden-yellow with a slight haze to it. The head is pure white and rises to only about half a finger into my snifter. Carbonation bubbles climb at a medium march and the lacing is made up of intricate squiggles.
The smell is mainly of pine-y, grassy, slightly metallic, and resiny hops, heavier on the the grass than anything else. A malt counter in the form of a caramel aroma is present, but in the background. Toasty and biscuit aromas abound. There is just a bit of citrus aroma, but that is way in the back of the bouquet.
The taste reveals a lot more caramel and toasted malt than did the smell. Resiny and grassy hops are still very present, especially on the flat of my tongue and sides of my mouth at the conclusion of the sip. Just a touch of sweet citrus is also a part of the flavor profile.
The mouthfeel is nice and pretty close to standard for an American IPA. There is plenty of hop bite with just enough of a light to medium body to massage the palate of the bitterness of the hops. The carbonation complements the body nicely.
This is a quite drinkable, even sessionable IPA, but not one of my favorites. It is solid all around, but nothing really stands out to me. Good, not great.

Poured from a 12oz can
The look is a light amber to gold, with a very light haze, almost crystal clear. On the pour there was a nice 2 finger head which slowly dissapates into a medium thin cap that leaves lacing. Good looking
Smell is resinous and piney with a hint of grapefruit. Not a lot of beer smell it's largely covered by the hops but some malt sweetness gets through. Its a very nice smell, definitely an ipa.
Taste is a bit different than the smell but it's very similar. Bitterness right up front. And malt residing solidly at the back. As the beer warms the citruis grows, and it becomes very grapefruit like, but still not juicy, very resinous. If I was more into hops I'd say it's a good refreshing ipa.
Feel is relatively light, but still present enough in the mouth to bring it to just the right balance of creamy lightness to keep it refreshing but full flavored and solid at the same time. A crafty afternoon work beer, but big enough to make itself known.
Overall am ipa right in the middle of the road but still somehow making its point without compromise. West coast with a splash of juice keeping it bitter, but not too strong and good for almost any time but especially as a refresher.

Pours a translucent gold. Piney nose. Strong notes of pine and maybe pineapple? Lacking the hop bite I was hoping for. Canned 12/3/21.

12 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Golden colour, big white head. Nice aroma of fruity and floral hops. The flavour is disctinctly hoppy throughout - plenty of American grapefruity and resinous hops, some malty sweetness in the middle, bitter finish and aftertaste. Quite good.
