Notes:
Purple Haze is a crisp, American style wheat beer with raspberry puree added after filtration. Therefore, you may see raspberry pulp in the beer. The raspberries provide the lager with a subtle purple coloration and haze, a fruity aroma, and a tartly sweet taste.

Poured from bottle into pint glass

Appearance – The brew pours a golden color with the characteristic reddish/purplish hazy tinge. It is quite neat looking. The head formed upon pouring was quite big and billowy with a off white-pinkish color. The head faded fast to leave a light amount of lacing.

Smell – The aroma was heavy of raspberries and some other lighter fruits. Mixed with the fruit smells was a light wheat. Smells sweet yet refreshing.

Taste – The taste begins with wheat and a lighter raspberry flavor. It starts out lighter in raspberry and grows stronger. The raspberry brings with it some sweetness as the taste advances where it collimates more toward the middle of the taste- but it never gets overly sweet. After that, the wheat and raspberry flavors remain constant were they are end up leaving a rather pleasant and refreshing light raspberry flavor on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the lighter side with a slightly higher carbonation level. Both are very fitting for the wheat and sweet fruit flavors and make for a good refreshing fee.

Overall- Very easy to drink and quite refreshing. A good beer for a nice hot day outside.

Had this one on tap for brunch at some big shopping complex outside Dade City, Florida. From notes.

A - Medium golden pour and bright. Mild carbonation. One finger soapy head. Slight lace with a film of retention.

S - Peach, sweet fruits. Very, very mild.

T - Apricots, gentle hop, berries, sweet grain, flavourful but nothing directly up my alley.

M - Mild but good carbonation. Light to medium body. Fruity and short finish.

O/D - Definitely not a standout. Very much a gateway into craft stuff with the obvious fruit addition. Decent, but I probably wouldn't try it again.
