Notes:
Our Triple Haze is a take off of one of our most popular year round offerings, Purple Haze. It is a strong golden lager made with malted barley and wheat. Despite being strong (8% ABV) it is still light in color. It is hopped with German Perle hops to give the beer a delicate hop flavor. After filtering the beer, a generous amount of fresh raspberry puree is added. Because we use real fruit you may see raspberry pulp in the beer. This gives the beer a tartly sweet taste and aroma, as well as a bright purple color and haze.

Appearance: Arrived at the table a dullish toned, reddish-hued body with a fine, white head.
Smell: Aroma provides mild raspberry, light booze, with indeterminate sweet hints. It's subtle and restrained, like a cat waiting patiently around the corner to pounce on your unsuspecting feets.
Taste: Light upfront, understated touches of pale malts and wheat with a middling sweetness to it. Quickly, it pushes the sweetness a bit more as a taste of ground-up fruit-flavored chewable tablets for poor, sick children takes over the flavor alongside a vein of booziness. TheLibrarianGirl likened it to taking a swig of her plumeria-scented body wash. I can see that, too. Finishes the same.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Overall: I really didn't enjoy this one, though, I'll admit I had some modest hopes for it. If Purple Haze is like the film Troll, this would make Triple Haze Troll 2.

This brew poured with a one finger, pure white head that dissipated slowly and left a tinge of lacing on the glass. The body was a cloudy orange with mild visible carbonation. On the nose, I got hints of raspberry with some wheat to it. On the taste, I definitely got a decent amount of raspberry, which is to be expected. What I didn’t expect was the bite that went along with it. It was almost like regular Purple Haze with more heat to it from the 8% ABV. The finished lingered with a boozy burn. Honestly, it’s not great. I prefer the regular version. I wouldn’t rush back to have it again.

On-tap 11/1/2011 at Doherty’s East Ave Irish Pub in Pawtucket, RI, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep orange/amber color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains a lot of raspberries along with light caramelized malts and a faint touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out with a strong tart raspberry flavors that remains dominant. The malt character is light and the hops presence is mild but there is a pretty decent balance for this type of beer. The after-taste is tart and slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
D: Flavorful, goes down ok, not too filling, strong kick, decent representation of style, if you like the raspberry flavor this is a decent stronger beer to drink for a while.

A: quarter finger head, murky and crimson color.
S: some dark fruit, mosty strawberry and raspberries
T: Caramel malts with mostly strawberry dark fruit flavor. I also got some lime and cherry notes.
M: moderate carbonation and medium body.
Overall: Its not too bad. It isn't up to par with others in this genre.

12 oz poured into an oversize wine glass
A: White head that quickly dissipates leaving a bubbly white ring around the edge. Body is extremely cloudy (hazey) with a glowing peach color.
S: A dominant, heavy tartness in the nose, smells like raspberries with an alcohol undertone. Smells like a lager.
T: Not over the top sweet, expecting more a sugary sweet taste. Taste like a watered down magic hat number 9.
M: A bubbly sensation takes over at the end which takes away from any exceptional flavors that might be in the beer.
O: Okay, nothing to brag about / recommend to others. Aphrodite from Ommegang would get a 10/10 for fruit beer, #9 6/10, this 3/10. :( And I like Andygator and Restoration so much, this not so much.

Comes out of the tap a barely transparent honey golden with a fine-bubbled eggshell head. Strong, fruity aroma is mainly raspberry and has a malty undertone. Raspberry dominates the malty flavor, which has a yeasty hint. Smooth, edgy, fizzy texture leaves a nice raspberry finish.

A - Cloudy pinkish hue, capped with a small white head, but leaving blanketing sheets of lace.
S - Light raspberry wheat beer aroma; fairly pleasant, if somewhat nondescript.
T - The flavor has a bit of a cheap boozy burn, and other than that tastes basically just like regular Purple Haze. Not a huge fan. It has a distinct malt liquor sensibility.
M - Thinner than medium, and softly carbonated.
O - This is not very good.

Pours a hazy, grapefruit color, either a lighter colored head and a bit of lacing.
Aroma is fruity sweet and not much else really. Maybe some b ready notes.
Taste is pretty much the same but sweet er and fruitier, and a hint ofheat.
Feel is creamy smooth, medium in body an nd a hair drying.
drink is ok. Better then regular purple haze, but if likely not seek it out.
