Notes:
Restoration Pale Ale is made with Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. It is liberally hopped and dry hopped with American Cascade and fermented with California Ale yeast. The end result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.

Received a six pack of Restoration Pale Ale in a bet with a Miami alumnus (loser to Notre Dame in the Sun Bowl). Proceeds of this beer goes to the Katrina relief fund, as it is the first beer to be made in Abita Springs, Louisiana after their disaster.
Appearance (3.5/5): A little on the light side for a pale ale, nice sticky lacing and a one finger head after being poured.
Aroma (3.5/5): Balance of Amarillo hops and caramel malts. Could use more hops.
Taste (4/5): Slight bitterness at first, with a malty sweetness at the finish. Citrus notes throughout.
Mouthfeel (4/5): Medium body with a ton of carbonation. No alcohol warmth.
Drinkability (4/5): Perfect after mowing the lawn - quenching even on a Louisiana summer evening.

Pours a rich gold in my tulip. One finger head dissipates to a thin layer and laces well. I smell the crystal hops. Citrus. Taste is crisp up front, not much at all across the middle, and hop bitterness on the back with an odd soapy aftertaste. A fairly unimposing and drinkable pale ale. Very refreshing mouthfeel.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high off white head that died down, consistently leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and has flavors of orange citrus along with a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is really easy to drink and would make for a good selection if someone wants some citrusy hop flavors without the associated bitterness.
