Notes:
Jockamo I.P.A. is a traditional India Pale Ale made with the best pale and light crystal malts that give the beer a copper color and malty flavor. This full-flavored beer is hopped and dry hopped liberally with Willamette and Columbus hops from the Pacific Northwest and has a 6.5% A.B.V. The spicy aroma of the hops contrasts nicely with the pleasant sweetness of the malts. Jockamo has a flavor that entices and excites the palate.

Pours a clear, dark orange-amber color with a decently retained, frothy, cream colored head. Random spots and flares of lace mark the glass. Aromas include tangerine rind, orange juice, lightly sweet caramel malts, and a grainy, grassy overtone. Flavors include biscuity malts and caramel, with citrus and grassy hops lending balance. Medium bodied and moderately carbonated, it drinks easier than its 6.5% would suggest.

12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear copper with a solid one finger white head. Really good head retention and just a little bit of lacing.
The aroma is a bit on the mild side but has definite garlic/onion notes along with some floral notes. A little earth and pine too but not much in the way of malt.
A big pine/garlic bomb on the flavor which I happen to love. With that being said, however, it fades way too quick leaving nothing but lingering garlic. Really no malt at all and quite one dimensional. Mouthfeel is very watery given the strength while bitterness is moderate.
Overall, a pretty run of the mill IPA that isn't really worth seeking out. Glad I tried it, though.

A - Very pretty caramel colory. It reminds me of those old aviators with the brownish tinted lenses everyone wore back in the day.
S - Smells like flowers...really pollen filled flowers on a summer day. A lot like my favorite tea.
T - It's pretty sharply bitter...and it tastes like you're now chewing on that smelly flower. Maybe you tried to clean it off first because it has a distinctly soapy taste.
M - Somewhere between water and syrup. It's not much different from most beers.
O - I could see enjoying this, but only outdoors. There's no way I could drink flowers and soap in the house. The bitterness really kills it for me. Not my go-to by any means.
