Notes:
Jockamo I.P.A. is a traditional India Pale Ale made with the best pale and light crystal malts that give the beer a copper color and malty flavor. This full-flavored beer is hopped and dry hopped liberally with Willamette and Columbus hops from the Pacific Northwest and has a 6.5% A.B.V. The spicy aroma of the hops contrasts nicely with the pleasant sweetness of the malts. Jockamo has a flavor that entices and excites the palate.

12oz bottle poured into SA perfect pint.

A- Pours a decent copper with complete transparency along with some tiny bubbles coming from the bottom of the glass.

S- There really isn't much going on here besides the usual, the sweet malt and some hops in the background, this isn't a west coast IPA for everyone wondering.

T- The malt is pretty apparent off the get go and the hops kind of round it out. The hops are more bitter and citrus like than anything else. I wish there was a little more going on.

M- Medium bodied with decent carbonation. Mouthfeel can get a bit dragging with the more sips you take.

D- I would have to say this is a little below average for the style. The malts don't jump out at you nor do the hops. It is well balanced in the sense nothing really jumps out at you.

12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear copper with a solid one finger white head. Really good head retention and just a little bit of lacing.

The aroma is a bit on the mild side but has definite garlic/onion notes along with some floral notes. A little earth and pine too but not much in the way of malt.

A big pine/garlic bomb on the flavor which I happen to love. With that being said, however, it fades way too quick leaving nothing but lingering garlic. Really no malt at all and quite one dimensional. Mouthfeel is very watery given the strength while bitterness is moderate.

Overall, a pretty run of the mill IPA that isn't really worth seeking out. Glad I tried it, though.
