Notes:
Jockamo I.P.A. is a traditional India Pale Ale made with the best pale and light crystal malts that give the beer a copper color and malty flavor. This full-flavored beer is hopped and dry hopped liberally with Willamette and Columbus hops from the Pacific Northwest and has a 6.5% A.B.V. The spicy aroma of the hops contrasts nicely with the pleasant sweetness of the malts. Jockamo has a flavor that entices and excites the palate.

A: Orange-copper in color. 1 finger of foamy off-white head that dissipates to a mere surface coating.
S: Sweet caramel malts with a likewise sweet floral aroma. Some faint citrus.
T: Malt. Sweet caramel malt with some minimal hoppiness. There is a little bitterness, but finishes with a sweet malty coating on the tongue and inside of the mouth.
M: Medium body, lower carbonation levels. Between the low carbonation and sweet maltiness, the beer feels somewhat syrupy and cloying.
D: While this beer drinks just fine, I have a difficult time even calling this an IPA. More like a thin brown ale. Quite one dimensional and simplistic, there are better IPA's out there even if you're not into the over-hopped styles.

I had this from the local bottleshop, looked interesting so I gave it a try. It has nice bottle artwork, somewhat typical hoppy IPA smell. It tasted sweet, which went well with how the beer seemed to be hopped. It evened out the bitterness in a way that I haven't had from other IPA's. Overall, I'd say this beer would be worth buying, if sold at the right price. Right now, I know of many more enjoyable IPA's that would fit within my budget.
