Color is somewhere between ruby red and Jurassic Park amber. Head is gone by the time Paul reached my table. Piddling retention.

Smells like a hot pretzel.

Made with 45% rye. That's a lot of rye. It tastes like a lot of rye. Bready up front with a huge rye wallop in back. Malty sweetness tastes just like glazing on a donut.

Amber lagers are pretty boring but huge percentage of rye makes this one a little different and a little better than most.
