On tap at Pony Bar.
Really nice dark brown color and tan-ish head~ 1" high.
First smell of this beer is amazing. Really nice roasty smell with hints of espresso.
Perfect balance of roasted malt with a coffee finish. The coffee tastes roasted, but not at all bitter like some coffee beers
Mouthfeel is really impressive for a 5% beer.
Overall, very impressed, if you like coffee in your beer, then this is one for you.

Huge tan head that stays for days and days. Slow fade leaves a light covering and bits of lacing. Smokey roasty malt. Notes of molasses and caramel. Sweet bit of light alcohol. Chocolate and coffee abound. This stuff is like a mocha beer in your nose. Taste is full of coffee with the chocolate notes from the nose subsumed into a cocoa powder dusting on my tongue. Roasted and charred malt with a bit of toffee and molasses. A dark fruitiness. Earthy hops feature a dry astringent finish. Clean on the swallow with notes of vanilla. A bit of sweet brown bread lingering. Feel is medium light and with a gentle tingle. A bit of syrup to give a touch of heft. Smoothly drinkable and satisfying. A good solid brew.

Growler from Yorktown, Bev, Yorktown, NY
New local brewery from just cross the river, time for a tasting room visit.
Pours near black, nice and lasting darker tan head. Goes to a tiny bubble fil and leave hig fine lacing.
Dark grains and ample coffee on the nostrils
Roasty and heavy on the coffee on the palate, this is a robust and dare I say stout take on the style. Long dry finish with some smoke, more dark grains and again coffee. Carbonation on point. Nicely crafted and well worth a try.
Worth giving this one a try if distribution reaches your neck of the woods

This one has coffee from an artisanal coffee roaster in Bethel NY added to the fermenter.
Appearance: Pours a nice dark brown with a 1 finger khaki crown that displays moderate retention and some lace.
Smell: Really nice espresso notes over dark malts and a tiny herbal hop presence. I'd give it a 4.25 if I could so I'm rounding up a bit.
Taste: Same as the nose. The coffee is fairly well integrated and the beer stays interesting from the start of the glass through the finish. NOTE: The coffee intensity and integration changes a bit depending on the freshness of the sample.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a small touch of heft to go along with medium carbonation.
Overall: A solid coffee porter that is both sessionable and satisfying. Glad I bought a growler to take home with me!
