I can see the appeal of this place, especially on a quiet afternoon. It’s cool, cellar-like, with tattoo flash designs adorning the walls. Pricy, even by New York standards, but with an impeccable tap list.

Solid selction of cans ( I had Grimm Afterimage Magenta when I visited). Bar tender was knowledgable about all of the beers. $20 minimum if paying with card. Tap was okay as far as selection, but, as with most places I go for the cans (beer on draft is rarely cold enough anyway).

Top 3 beer bar in the city. Not the most expansive tap selection, but you're pretty much guaranteed that what they have is fantastic and the one serving it knows plenty about beer. It can get pretty packed at high hours, but when the crowd is thinner is where this bar really shines as a place to go and have delicious beer and good conversation. Prices can be on the high side at times, but that's usually reflective of the quality of beer on tap.

Finally made it here after a couple years of wanting to go. It did not disappoint. They had a Crooked Stave brett clementine which was great. And the Grimm Cube Cuvee. I wanted to try everything. They had a couple Maine's, a Greenpoint. I went early and had a table to stand at. Small but you're there for the menu and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Vibe is amazing. This place rocked. Great music. People were cool. Old awesome crooked as fuck building. Dark, loud. Service was amazing even when it was jammed. They serve all beers in Telug glasses. Selection is very small but every draft was awesome. Fair selection of bottles.

Limited to 12 taps and some bottles, but of those, all are winners. Service is phenomenal -- knowledgeable and personal -- and you should definitely check out the beer cheese (with matzo, seriously, give it a try). My last visit, they had Mexican Cake, plus a host of excellent Brooklyn selections. Could've honestly sat there all night and ran through the full list without any complaints.

Great bar in the East Village. It's small with only a dozen or so seats but it feels great. The service is top notch with proactive pouring of water, attentive service and great beer knowledge. The selection is well curated with a reasonable mix of styles and high quality. Very easy place to like.

Great location and great vibe in a neighborhood full of things to do and some pretty good beers bars. St. Marks is always jumping and you would walk right past this joint if you weren't looking for it. Artwork and decor is very hip and East Village-like with good music playing and the feel of a local hangout spot. It's a small tight space with the bar taking up most of the place and a few tables. On the downside, the bathroom was tiny, stinky and close to my seat at the bar, and the place was really tight and not a big space at all, however that lends itself to the communal feeling and amped up beer geek aura; the crowd was into beer here and you could tell since it was crowded and mostly full for a Monday night. The way they set up the tap list is cool.
Very high quality of "rare, new and unusual beer" as stated on the website. Not many bottles were crossed off the list and the tap selection had 12 brews of varying styles including some I'd never heard of, which was nice. Place is not an IPA shop and had some gems on tap including Grassroots/Hill Farmstead Brother Soigne Saison and a few from Nogne O. I had 3 tap beers and 1 can (Other Half Superfun!) and all tasted like they came from clean lines and were poured into teku glasses...not sure why they only use teku, but they got the job done.
The bartender last night was excellent. He knew his beers on tap, could speak about all the different styles, give recommendations and you could tell he really loved beer in addition to being a nice guy. Attentive and not the type that waited for you to signal him, he came by to check in and see how we liked our beers halfway through them all. His professionalism added to the relaxed vibe and made us feel welcomed. He kept us hydrated and our water glasses full as well, which helped keep us sober.
Selection is excellent for stuff you don't find elsewhere. A bit pricey for the draft beers and some of the bottles were very expensive, but this is really a specialty beer bar that is on the exclusive side for the beer bar world. I had the Grassroots/Hill Farmstead Brother Soigne Saison, a Other Half Superfun! APA, a Cuzett Libations Grisette and a Port City Colossal Four Quad. For me it was a great night since getting anything by Hill Farmstead is rare and a treat, Other Half is a local hot brewer and this can really kicked ass, plus I got to try 2 new brewers whom I had never heard of and tried some styles I don't normally have. A great experience, I'm looking forward to going back to this place for another mid-week visit.

This place is pretty good. Its comically small for a bar. Staff is awesome and has always been down to earth and helpful.
Mixed bag when it comes to what's available on tap and bottles, usually they offer rarer and more unique brews. Good beer is right around the corner incase you strike out here. That's a place. Not a euphemism, "Good Beer" is a bottle shop around the corner.

I'd been wanting to try this place for sometime, but sadly I was disappointed with my experience.
First, rare beer on our bottle list that's awesome. I show up and order it. "Oh, I guess we must have sold the last one." Bummer. The recommendations to replace what I'd wanted originally were less than stellar. The orientation of the bar is super crowded on a Saturday night, with nowhere to move and nowhere to go. I understand its Saturday but this place is way too small, I know its NYC, but if its crowded, I would just turn around and go somewhere else.
Overall, the list is nice and selective but the atmosphere and space left something to be desired.
This place has potential but no space at all.
