Reuben's is one of my favorite breweries in the Seattle/Ballard area. Sitting in an industrial garage, you're ordering and drinking right in the middle of the brewery itself. Not a whole lot of space in the fall and winter, as the garage is closed up and porch seating is not available. Typically when I visit, I get my beer to go. However, the staff is very friendly and the head brewer/owner is always there, which is nice to see in a local craft brewery. But, there is only one person taking orders at one time, so if there's a line, it can take several minutes inside this small brewery to get your drink. The selection is outstanding! At least 12 in-house beers available, rotating throughout the year, all of which I would consider to be good to great beers. You can't really go wrong with whatever you pick. They also keep a nitro tap going and have quite a few rye style beers as well.
Overall, if you're in the area and love beer, you need to stop and have a drink.

Disclaimer: I just left Ed's Kourt Haus before visiting and stuffed myself with a Camel burger, a Kangaroo burger, and a double order of poutine so I was not in a chugging mood. Earlier at Naked City the owner said to visit this place. I could tell it was new, not by the beer but the facility looked new... basically a tap room in a modern garage. The beer though was not of the quality I would expect to find commonly from a new brewery... it was much much better. All the beers were good but I had to buy a bottle of their Rye. Needless to say I was impressed. Thank you Reuben, thank you Naked City, and ... well thank you Ed's Kourt Haus... just not so much.

Awesome new(ish) brewery in Seattle. I was fortunate enough to make it out there before I moved and happened to stop by on their anniversary. I love rye (beer, bread, and whiskey), so I loved everything I tasted. I look forward to stopping by next time I am in town.
Since I visited on an event day I don't know that I got the typical experience, but parking was easy to find and the beer was fantastic. Definitely on par with some of the more established Seattle micro breweries.

A: JackCrow and I walked in about 1PM on a cold Saturday and grabbed a seat in a small corner of a industrial garage space. The inside is outfitted with makeshift tables, chairs and booths. Nice big chalkboard rests above the serving area where you pretty much walk up and take your pick. The atmosphere can be a bit stale but the chatter of other patrons break any odditys. Lazerlobe joined us and contributed to the chatter. There seemed to be a lot of new patrons discovering this place for the first time.
Q: Everything we had was pretty solid; ranging from average to very good. I gave them a bump in the score because I truly enjoyed my Imperial Rye IPA.
S: No issues. Most of them are within earshot if you need to ask a question but they are also pretty reserved. Not bad in any way and rather talkative once you get them going.
S: 12 to 15 house beers!? Pretty amazing for a small space and to be so new to the scene. I believe the server told me that had a 5bbl system on site and another 10bbl system across the way. Selection ranged from Imperials IPAs, to Robust Porters to a belgian Pale
If I were in Ballard I would make two places my local, frequent stops: Noble Fir and Reubens.
